  • A lovely and very roomy cottage, Lovely and quite on a farm but close enough to get to a main road to explore suffolk/norfolk.

“When you go back to the cottage you feel like you have got away from it all. The Black horse pub and the White horse pub both are worth a visit and serve very good pub meals/”

A charming, detached cottage resting on a 160-acre working arable and livestock farm, set in a rural location in the village of Stoke Ash.

The Bothy has been designed to offer a peaceful base for couples looking to get away to a beautiful part of East Anglia.

The large kitchen is ideal for rustling up a tasty dinner for your partner and getting together around the dining table, while the spacious sitting room has doors out to the lovely lawned garden.

There is one double bedroom with bedside tables and reading lamps, and the family bathroom offers a shower over the bath.

To the exterior, you have your very own private garden area in which to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining or soak up the sun with a refreshing beverage in hand.

Eye itself offers a variety of shops, pubs and eateries, while nearby Stowmarket and Diss provide yet more choice.

There are many museums in the area, as well as a golf course at Stowmarket, or slightly further afield lies the picturesque Suffolk coastline, while inland are the cycle trails and Go Ape!

high wire experience at Thetford Forest.

Alternatively, spend an afternoon at the city of Norwich where you will be delighted to find further amenities and attractions including the Norman castle and the 11th-century cathedral.

A superb retreat for a relaxing holiday with your loved one.

About the location

Diss 5 miles; Stowmarket 16 miles.

The small town of Eye is considered by its inhabitants to be more like a village. It has a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, and monthly cinema nights are held at the community centre. Just 5 miles away is the market town of Diss, in the beautiful Waveney Valley. The town has some excellent examples of Georgian and Edwardian buildings, as well as an award-winning museum, the public park, the mere (lake) and shops and restaurants. The Market operates every Friday and coincides with a local antiques and collectables auction. Speciality markets, flea markets and farmers' markets are also held regularly. The town of Stowmarket has an 18 hole golf course, Suffolk's only open air museum, and a variety of shops and pubs. Explore the Suffolk Coast, or visit Thetford Forest (with its Go Ape high wire experience). Other attractions in the area include the wonderful Steam Museum and Gardens at Bressingham and the zoo at Banham.
