Seaflower, Aldeburgh

A perfect place to spend a few days relaxing by the sea.

Seaflower has been lovingly looked after and has everything you could possibly need. It really feels like a home rather than just another holiday rental. Thank you. The one criticism was how to contact Sykes Cottages on a bank holiday weekend to let them know the light fitting in the bathroom had fallen out of the ceiling…. Still haven’t heard that they received my WhatsApp which seemed the only way of communicating and then only with a a chat bot…

Second time we have stayed at Seaflower, great location, lovely cottage, would go for a third round.

Lovely cottage .

Great location short walk to main town . Weve been there in summer . But March it’s quite cold . Think a proper wood burner would be better . The small electric fire is ok but doesn’t give enough heat .

Seaflower was the perfect cottage for our Christmas week holiday.

We've stayed there before so knew it would be lovely and warm, with really comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen in which to cook a Christmas dinner. We were delighted by the wreath on the front door and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree already lit up to welcome us. Just a few paces round the corner is the sea - we had both wonderful winter sunshine on Christmas Day and the most dramatic stormy seas on Boxing Day. Seaflower is a delightful cottage with the best of all worlds - really easy strolling distance from both the sea and the high street, yet not troubled by cars parking outside or lots of passers by. We love it.

An amazing stay from start to finish.

The cottage is perfectly placed for Aldeburgh. So close to the sea, amazing smokehouses, pub and town. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was very warm. Thanks for the biscuits and wine. One piece of feedback would be in providing everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, there was limited space to store dry goods, other than that thank you for providing an amazing place for me and my family. We had a fantastic holiday.

We had a beautiful relaxing family break at Seaflower.

House is perfectly placed to get to the beach and High Street and is very comfortable and well equipped.

Hi… Just want to say .

. what a wonderful time we had staying in your cottage..! The only thing was I asked for the truckle bed to be made up .. it wasn’t so one of the children slept downstairs on the sofa as they had a bit of a tantrum..! All in all the location and amenities were great Thankyou Kind regards Vicky

We had a wonderful time .

The cottage is roomy and had everything we needed. Plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance. Even though we were in the high street it wasn’t noisy. Plenty to do out of town as well. Would highly recommend staying here.

Had a recent stay in seaflower cottage.

Everything was perfect . The location was just right, very clean, with all the facilities . . The bed was comfortabel with top class bedding . Will definatly return Thank you

We had a lovely stay and the cottage was great.

One thing is the heating in the property. It was always cold upstairs.

Excellently located for beach and shops.

Spacious. Overall the property was very well supplied with everything you needed. However the cutlery and oven utensils were old, tired and of mixed origins.

Lovely roomy cottage in an ideal position to walk to coast or the high street.

Excellent. Although no listed parking, parked on coast front, a minutes walk and no issues leaving car overnight. Ideally located within Aldeburgh

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The only comment we would make is that there are not enough teaspoons, and also some larger tumblers for cold drinks. There is a damp smell in the downstairs toilet.

What a fabulous little place!

! Fantastic location!! Seaflower is not only very pretty to look at it is extremely practical and well equipped! Clean and spacious! Excellent shower and such a plus having a separate toilet downstairs. The beds are all very comfortable and the bedding is great quality. As a group of 5 friends we really enjoyed our two night break at Seaflower and would recommend to our friends and families.

We have been coming to Aldeburgh for many years and Seaflower is the most quirky but comfortable family cottage we have stayed in.

It is in a great position with the beach and fish sheds and the high street with all it offers with the cinema, bookshop and eateries all on the doorstep. The younger children loved the quick access to the sailing pool and the ice cream/coffee hut which we visited several times! The house is well equipped with most things we needed for a week away with three generations of family. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and clean - constant hot water and a great shower were appreciated. Good to have eco friendly cleaning products provided. The beds were very comfortable. The little courtyard perfect for a bit of private outdoor eating space and for drying swim things. We loved the original artwork which gave a personal touch. We would have liked a few larger glasses for the Adnams ale bought up the road and some less chunky mugs but that's just a personal thing and we will bring those next time. We all loved the 'blue house' with all it offers and look forward to coming back. Thank you

One of the best holiday houses we have stayed in Aldeburgh.

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The house was very well equipped with everything that you would need. Our children also loved it and want to go back to ‘the blue house’ soon!

The cottage was good upstairs and lounge acceptable.

However the kitchen left much to be desired. There was very little cutlery. The worktops were very sticky. The washing up bowl was old and not clean enough. The washing up brush was not clean enough to use and we immediately bought another one. The cottage was not suitable for 2 dogs as outside space was small and airless. We spent very little time in the cottage as our relatives had booked another one which was much more welcoming. Good job the weather was kind to us!

Lovely house very clean and comfortable.

Well situated in Aldeburgh high street. Near the sea and the town. Felt at home very quickly. Great to have a back garden to read in. Good size bedrooms with clean and comfy beds. Large bathroom with a shower. Would definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful time, excellent and comfortable cottage, great location for walks and sampling the restaurants of Aldeburgh.

Parked outside the Wentworth and used the church car park once. Walk to Sizewell recommended.
