This one-of-a-kind property is filled with fantastic artwork by a professional artist and boasts a special feature - an Insect Circus Museum that the owners used to travel the world with, now relocated to a room downstairs for guests to enjoy.

Children will delight in the downstairs stage area, complete with dress-up clothes for play-acting and vintage games like Monopoly for hours of entertainment.
Just a short stroll from The Orchard Close Art House lies a charming pub where you can enjoy a refreshing drink after a day of exploration. The village itself is steeped in history and featured in M.R. James's Victorian Ghost Stories, with local tales that will intrigue literature enthusiasts. Nature lovers will delight in the two adjoining lakes that offer spectacular birdwatching opportunities outside of the shooting season, where you may spot a variety of species such as geese with goslings, swans, lapwings, owls, buzzards, and red kites.

Quirky……and all down to the art work.
Fascinating to look at the pictures on a daily basis and see something new every day. Beyond that we loved our stay. The weather was kind and we enjoyed exploring the area. The birdlife was also spectacular, we’ve never seen so many ducks and geese. And the feral chickens, hens and roosters were surprise neighbours :) The cottage itself was well kitted out and spacious. Brilliant!
This was a brilliant house to stay in.
It is a delightful village to stay with exellent local dog walks. A great location to explore the historic county of Suffolk from. We are National Trust members and had numerous interesting places to visit. The house in itself is stunning inside with it's amazing art collection. It was very comfortable and well equipped.
Wow what a fantastic place.
Beautiful original art work thought the property. The Insect museum is amazing, and the 1960's decor took me back to my early childhood. The kitchen is well equipped and so nice to be off grid with no WiFi. Although we had no problems with 5g on our mobiles. The little garden is a dream and we had many evening meals out there and a family game if Scrabble afterwards. Highly recommended. We will be returning. Thank you so much xx
