Lovely cottage with everything we needed

We had a lovely 4-night stay at Rose Cottage.

We arrived in the dark and were astonished when we saw the beautiful garden the following morning and as we were blessed with perfect spring weather, we were able to take full advantage of it. Kirton is a peaceful village with lovely walks and lots to see in the surrounding area. We really appreciated the bottle of bubbly on arrival. The only negative for us was the handheld shower but we managed.

Had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage again.

It was late January and the cottage was lovely and warm. The cottage is comfortable and clean and has a very large garden if you have a dog. There are also lots of nice walks in the countryside around Kirton. Close to Woodbridge which is a lovely town and I can recommend the Cherry Tree Pub for a nice lunch.

What a lovely warm, snug cottage!

- just fits like a glove for my purposes - ie staying for a week to visit friends in the Ipswich area and for exploring the coastal walks in the area and Felixstowe’s coffe shops/ cafes. This was the third time I’ve stayed at this cottage and would definitely recommend it for singles, couples or small families and four-legged friends who want to explore this area of Suffolk.

Always clean and lovely garden for dog

We loved the quaint cottage and had a lovely stay.

However the bed in the main bedroom was hard and lumpy and very uncomfortable. Also having a shower was difficult if you are tall.

As always, Rose Cottage didn’t disappoint .

This was our third stay and won’t be our last. Lovely warm, cosy cottage and a beautiful large enclosed garden in a quiet village. Easy access to Felixstowe and Ipswich. Perfect

Rose Cottage is in a lovely area for dog walking and places to visit by car.

The secure back garden is a wonderful place for humans and dogs to explore. The allocated parking space is very small but the next door pub were happy for us to use their car park. Unfortunately, due to illness, the pub is not serving any food. Inside the cottage was clean and the beds we used were comfortable. We were most grateful for the biscuits and milk left us by the owners. The cottage could benefit from a declutter - a visit from lively children could wreak havoc with all the ornaments on display - and the kitchen needs gently modernising. It is very short of cupboard space. This did not detract from our overall enjoyable stay.

Beautiful large garden with well thought out seating areas that follow the sun. Lovely welcome gifts left for us. Cleaned and well maintained even towels and treats for our dogs. Also great communication with the owner who was absolutely lovely. A great location with plenty of dog walks and a short drive to the seafront. Public house next door is a bonus and the owners were very welcoming as was everyone we met in the village

In an ideal location for visiting family and the Suffolk coastline. Cottage was clean and well maintained. Will definitely look at returning.

This is our second time staying at Rose Cottage and we have booked again for later in the year.

We were so lucky having sunny weather which made sitting in the beautiful garden with our dog even more special. Only criticism is the double mattress wasn’t as comfortable as my memory foam one at home but it didn’t spoil our stay.

Small but perfectly formed cottage, perfect for a couple or small family.

Good sized, mature garden. Everything was very clean and well appointed. The low ceiling heights and wonky floors added to the charm.

Cosy comfy and that garden is awesome. Felixstowe within easy reach. Morrisons supermarket near the docks.

The large garden really is secure and our dog loved exploring the nooks and crannies. A good pub next door, and a farm shop with fresh local produce a mile up the road. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t fault Rose Cottage.

It’s a lovely cottage with a beautiful garden, the weather was kind to us so we spent some time out there. There was everything we could need and a thoughtful welcome package that included all the essentials.The cottage heated up very quickly in the evenings which was a real plus and although the parking space was too small for our car the pub next door let us park there so it wasn’t an issue. Our dog Chester really enjoyed the garden and walks from the door. The ceilings height could be a drawback if you are tall but being shorter it was great only having 9 steps to upstairs. We did have an issue getting the key safe number but did get it 3 hours before we arrived by phoning Sykes. Really relaxing stay and can’t wait to book to come back. Thank you

Very relaxing, comfortable would definitely go again

Rose cottage was lovely, it has a beautiful garden and facilities were excellent.

There was a bottle of Prosecco on arrival and Pepsi for the children, plus biscuits and all essentials for my dog in case anything had been forgotten. Would highly recommend.

There is everything in the property that you need. The owners left us flowers, wine and biscuits and milk in the fridge. It’s very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely few days.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this characterful cottage.

Beautiful garden. Well placed for visiting other areas and the seaside. Only very slight hitch was that the shower curtain was faulty, though this didn't really impact on our visit too much. Highly recommend.

What a super cottage, the garden was amazing, I think our dog Bobby was disappointed to leave it.

Unfortunately, the bed was a little too hard for me. The pub next door was great and friendly. Great location for exploring to local area. Well worth the stay. The village is quiet with plenty of places to walk the dogs.

We chose Rose Cottage because we have stayed in Kirton before and knew of its location.

We found the cottage to be very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It has a lovely large garden which, with the sunny weather we had, we made full use of. The welcome flowers and prosecco were a pleasant surprise. The cottage sits next to the village pub, The White Horse. This is a relatively quiet pub which did not disturb our stay whatsoever. The pub does an excellent, reasonably priced Sunday dinner. We will certainly look to stay at Rose Cottage when we next visit Kirton.

Cottage nice peaceful location, not enough wardrobe space for two week stay as wardrobes in master bedroom locked,unfortunately we found the beds to be uncomfortable but the garden was beautiful a lot nicer than website photos garden furniture has been upgraded.

Rose Cottage provided everything we needed for our week's stay.

The cottage was comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped for all our needs. Our dog loved the big garden, as did we especially when the sun was shining, and all home comforts were on hand. The location is ideal, close to Felixstowe and Ipswich, and lots of other places of interest are within 30 minutes drive.

A really good garden for Brody the black lab.

He enjoyed it and was unable to escape ! Please watch out for the headroom, as there are low beams. I wore a bump cap and got on fine. The pub next door does good food but is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Close to a good walk for the dog and easy reach of Woodbridge which is a nice town.

We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely cottage.

The beautiful garden was wonderful especially all the bluebells. Our dog loved running around outside. Ideally situated with pub next door (huge portions of food) and many walks from the village. The weather was chilly but the heating worked very well to warm the cottage quickly. Bed very comfortable. Only minor negative point was very few sockets to plug in phones etc. Overall a great stay and we intend to return to finish the many walks we didn't quite have time for.

The cottage has everything we need for our annual winter break. We were warm and comfortable and the dogs enjoy the garden. Publican next door was happy to let us park in his car park. The village provides great walks and easy access to some of our favourite places. See you next year

Lovely cottage, had a very nice week.

The cottage is very claen and comfortable. It is a very interesting cottage. We do not have a dog but dogs are well catered for. Large safe garden, even a cupboard dedicated to dogs with goodies in. There are nice local walks in the countryside. Nice owners in the pub next door and the pub is not noisey at all. We would book again.

Great cottage in a peaceful setting the garden is a great space on its own ,there is a farm shop near by for all your fresh food and I highly recommend it .

Rose cottage is a very small cute cottage in a quaint village.

It has everything you need for a home from home experience. It’s very clean and tidy. The garden is beautiful. A bottle of wine and biscuits were left for us, which was a nice touch by the owners. We enjoyed our stay. The pub next door was very convenient. Parking is to the front of the property or you can park one car in the pub car park. Highly recommend.

Delightful cottage.

Very comfortable and cosy and spotlessly clean. Double bed was very comfortable as were the chairs and settees. Lovely enclosed garden which our dog absolutely loved. Dog treats, towels and food bowls were also provided. Welcome treats were very much appreciated as well as milk, tea and coffee. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly consider staying again as we have family who live nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rose cottage and were grateful they could accommodate us at the last minute as our other accommodation was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.

The cottage was very clean, warms up really quickly, the garden is lovely, as is the location next to the pub and lots of foot paths for dog walking. It was lovely to heave the welcoming gifts as well as bowls, treats and towels for the dog.

Great little place to stay while visiting relatives.

Hope to come again sometime when the weather is better to make use of the lovely garden. The pub next door does great meals and I only banged my head the once!

Very clean and a beautiful garden. We have more of the area to explore so will try and get another visit next year.

Parking was a bit difficult Both the Bed and Sofas were not comfortable so put you off returning to the cottage

As a very general comment, I am 6 feet 2 inches tall.

I will have to take more care when booking any homes in future if I dont want to end up bumping my head.

Rose Cottage is a lovely, quirky little house with a gorgeous garden.

We found it well equipped for our needs and did not make use of some of the gadgets in the kitchen. The fridge is a little small, but it suits the kitchen. All slept well in the very comfy beds but cheering sparrows early in the morning were not appreciated! If you are tall, this cottage is not recommended unless you would like a few bumps to the head. Also the downstairs bathroom was awkward for those of us needing to use it in the middle of the night! We truly enjoyed our stay in Rose Cottage, a really good base for exploring the Suffolk coast and a few lovely walks around the village.

The cottage was beautifully quaint, but the low beams were troublesome for my tall husband.

The garden however, more than made up for that, it was beautiful, calming and quiet. It had plenty of areas to sit, either in full sun or shade. Our dog spent most of her time out there. The village is only a short drive away from amenities and places to visit, and the pub next door was beautifully presented, were very amenable and had quiet clientele. They will soon be serving food which will be big bonus for future cottage rentals.

We found the cottage to be very warm and cosy, the garden is spectacular, so pretty.

It is situated in an excellent location close to the A14. I

Cottage was very comfortable. Garden was amazing. Pub next door was really good. Dog friendly with good walks from Cottage. Kirton Creek is a must do walk. Even charged EV at cottage. Did ask beforehand and paid for electricity used. Welcoming bottle of wine.
