Beautiful quiet location and very comfortable and well equipped lodge.

Very spacious and a lovely hot tub. Would benefit from shower grab rail and door handrail for more elderly guests. Thank you for a lovely holiday

From the moment we arrived we were blown away.

The accommodation was spotless. The fixtures really high end. It had everything we needed. The welcome booklet gave us lots of ideas on where to visit during our stay. One of our favourite walks took us blackberry picking and ended up at a local pub. There is so much to do and so many great beaches to visit we will definitely be back! Kim, Neil and their family were great hosts, offering their local knowledge to guide us and providing extra logs when needed! Our favourite activity was getting up for sunrise at Felixstowe beach - would definitely recommend that.

What an amazing property, it is so much more secluded and its own space than we had realised from the pictures and unlike any other property rental we’ve stayed in it just somehow had that balance to feel just like we were straight away at home as soon as we walked in All of the facilities are as described or more and we would recommend the property to anyone The hosts were incredible too.

The property is has everything you need for your stay. The Piglets is very well placed for exploring the area and Kim's suggestions on places to visit and places to eat were great. We also enjoyed firing up the hot tub one evening!

We had a lovely week staying at this beautiful and spacious property.

It was the perfect place to relax, and we especially enjoyed having our breakfasts and evening meals outside. Our dog absolutely loved the garden and the wonderful walks directly from the house. The location was peaceful and quiet, giving the feeling of being in the countryside while still offering easy access to some of the most beautiful parts of Suffolk. We also enjoyed some amazing food in the local country pubs nearby. Our host couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay — thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

The perfect base for visiting the area.

Plenty of car parking space and a well maintained garden with outside seating. Inside the property is spacious with good cupboard space and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Kim and Neil are very accommodating - nothing is too much trouble. Hanging space in the bedrooms has been well thought out and very usable. All in all, an ideal property for a short break. Honestly, it was hard to leave.

We had a lovely stay at The Piglets it was a great base for exploring Suffolk.

Kim was very responsive and helpful in places to visit.

The property is clean and immaculately presented and the owner Kim and family were really friendly and really helpful with local knowledge of where to go and eat etc etc. You won’t be disappointed if you book here. It’s dog friendly and the finishing touch was having the hot tub which was so relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed over Christmas for our silver wedding anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation.Was also decorated with a Christmas tree to make it feel special.Hosts were really friendly and helpful . Would definitely recommend staying at this property .

Excellent meals at the Fox and Maybush. Very central for exploring the area. Beautiful chalet very well equipped owners very pleasant.

Clean, comfy, accommodation in a peaceful area for visiting all local attractions. Only downside, no bbq which we would have liked and was advertised, also it was very hot whilst we were there and a couple of extra fans would have been great, thank goodness we had one! Overall we had a lovely stay. Thanks for having us Neil and Kim.

We had a wonderful half-term break at The Piglets.

Kim was a brilliant host and the accommodation lived up to the description. The hot tub and garden provided a peaceful getaway from it all! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Great stay at the Piglets, fantastic accommodation.

Beautiful surroundings and friendly host. Probably my favourite part of the UK we have been to so far. The only thing that we would say could be better was the fencing as dog found an escape route and you’re overlooked in the garden. Having said that it was only ever advertised as pet friendly (not secure for pets) and it definitely met that standard. This wouldn’t deter us from staying again, it was a lovely holiday and the space was exceptional Thank you ☺️

The piglets is stunning it’s so modern and for us it was like being home from home it’s so clean, comfortable and has absolutely everything you need.

It’s so accessible to everywhere it’s just a short drive to the main shops and only a short drive to the coast. Kim and Neil were so helpful to us and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. We loved it so much we’ve booked again for October I would definitely recommend it for a fabulous holiday

A lovely holiday - home from home.

Spacious comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen and lovely log fire. The Piglets is a quiet village location, yet close by to access all the great surrounding areas to visit.The owner was very helpful with anything we needed, and even provided more logs for us. Only improvement would be access to terrestrial TV instead of using iplayer/Netflix etc. A visit to the local pub The Fox is highly recommended with excellent service and food. We will definitely be back.

Cleanliness - on arrival we had an issue but the owner rectified this very quickly & to our satisfaction.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Good location with easy access to A14. Comfort - central heating was set too low & we were cold at times. Facilities - TV is app based only, no live terrestrial TV - so you can’t scroll through what’s on or see central listing. Hot tub is wood fired & thus takes long time to heat up. Boiler is quite noisy in one of the bedrooms. Needs more external lighting out towards gate (perhaps motion activated).

The cottage is gorgeous and staged beautifully.

Very modern and a clever use of space. The wood fired hot tub is lovely as it feels super cosy and an achievement to get it fired yourself. The area is wonderful and the hosts are so welcoming and helpful. The only downside I would say is as the owners live at the back of the property as and have to drive past the cottage to get to their drive, there felt a little lack of privacy also as the main entrance is glass and no curtains for it. So when the owners drove past, I thought they could look in which made me feel less comfortable walking around in my pajamas/getting in and out of the hot tub. But a beautiful place, that I would recommend to friends and families but less so to couples.

Wonderful stay at The Piglets.

Kim was super accommodating but left us to enjoy our time. The kitchen was fully equipped and the hot tub a wonderful treat. Highly recommended.

Great place and location with easy access to the coast and a great choice of pubs with nice dog walking routes too.

All as advertised, very clean, comfortable and convenient.

A nice quiet spot with lots of local walks, but not very far from shops and facilities. Great local pub. Very handy for the MCCF cricket festival at the Royal Hospital School.

Opening the door to The Piglets we got the WOW factor.

We had taken our granddaughters 23 and 21 on holiday to Suffolk, after taking them on many holidays through the years abroad and UK, they both loved this wonderful find. Close to all places for sightseeing, set in a lovely garden, where we enjoyed relaxing, chatting and two evenings in the hot tub. Our little dog loved it too. The girls enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a nice touch welcoming us on our arrival together with doggy treats for our pooch. The space between the bedrooms, both with en-suite had been well thought out. To be honest we could not have wanted for more that’s why we have rated this a 10. Which is rare as we have been to many places promising everything to be disappointed! Not here if you are looking for lovely accommodation in an excellent location look no further! The only warning is if you sit outside in the garden or hot tub on a warm night be sure to take care of the mosquitoes, one of our granddaughters got bitten and she is allergic to them but here again she received excellent service from the doctors surgery. If you should have any problems, which I doubt, the owners are nearby and are very helpful with very well behaved children, who deliver logs to your door should you need them. Excellent holiday without any disappointments

Piglets was a lovely place to stay and felt like home from home.

Extremely well equipped and you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The welcome gift of wine, biscuits and dog treats was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Kim and Neil were supper friendly and helpful. Kim popped over to introduce herself and let us know how to contact her should we need to. It was really helpful knowing they were Nextdoor, but I must say it was not intrusive in any way. Piglets felt rural, but had great access to all the amenities and attractions. The weather was awful during our stay, but it gave an excuse to light the log burner, sit back relax and enjoy being cosy while watching rain and wind outside. We had a bit of a medical issue while staying at piglets, and it was great to know Kim was close by. Both Kim and Neil were extremely helpful and supportive during our hour of need. Thank you

My daughters and I had a lovely time at The Piglets.

Kim was very helpful when we had a problem with the front door and also provided more wood for the burner. The property and garden are really pretty and the hot tub is wonderful. The Piglets is very well equipped and the bed very comfy. There is a great pub a short walk away called The Fox Inn where we had a superb Sunday lunch.

The property is in a great location and we enjoyed visiting different areas of interest.

We hadn't realised the owners lived so close to the property and felt rather 'overlooked'. There was a problem getting hot water for showering etc and so wasted a considerable amount of water before it was even tepid. Not very eco friendly regarding water wastage. One power point in the twin bedded room wasn't working so bedside lamp facilities were compromised.

Kim is a super host.

Very responsive and helpful. Great property for our stay whilst working in Suffolk- clean and comfortable. Plenty of walks from the doorstep as well as further afield. Highlights were Woodbridge (delightful), Aldburgh beach walk and fish market restaurant, Snape Maltings, the local pubs and the Unruly Pig is a must. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at The Piglets.

Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Kim was just a phone call away if we needed to ask anything. We stayed over Christmas and the property had everything we needed to cook a banquet. Bedrooms and living areas are very comfortable and the log burning stove made the stay even more cosy. Great open planned space for socialising with the family (and a dog). Local pub is a short walk away, we enjoyed popping in for a quick drink during our walks. Retail park is nearby which have Supermarkets and Bowling alleys for something to do.

We were wanting a chilled getaway over New Year and that is exactly what we got.

Very warmly welcomed. Beautiful accommodation - modern and furnished to a high standard. Easy access to nice walks, including the nearby nature reserve. If we were to be super picky, the beds were a bit springy but otherwise - lovely!

Kim the owner is very approachable and keen to ensure that you have a great time.

The area is stunning with amazing walks Sutton hoo, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh to name a few We had fabulous weather so only used the hot tub one evening Local pubs had great food menus (The Fox Newbourne and the Maybush in Waldringfield) Our only issue was there was no cafetière but Tesco's is only 7 minutes away All major supermarkets deliver to the area too Great place for a family of 4 or 2 couples

This was our early Christmas getaway due to working over the Christmas period and what a wonderful week its been. We can't thank you enough for allowing us to bring our rabbit Missy, this made our holiday! The owner kindly gave us a Christmas tree to put up, along with the decorations early, which was a lovely touch and we appreciate very much! The wood fired hot tub was incredible, especially since it was mine and my fiances first time experiencing it, definitely worth it. The location was great, close to the town centre and plenty of options for supermarkets in the area to choose from. I could say so much more but I'm going to leave our review at a stop here. Thank you again for a lovely stay and we hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay!

The setting was beautifully peaceful, the perfect place for us to unwind in the hot tub and in front of the log fire and huge tv. The cabin itself was very cosy, comfortable and clearly looked after with great care. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful throughout our stay adding personal touches that made us feel truly welcome! Their attention to detail and kindness made the experience even more special! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break in a charming, quiet spot and still walking distance to the local pub! And you can still be in central London in just over 1hr from the train in Ipswich. We will definitely be back already looking at dates for 2026!
