  • "All absolutely FANTASTIC really nice welcome hamper."

Great kitchen equipment apart from one minor item - a potato peeler ! One of the best holiday rentals I have ever stayed in! Great location fab decor everything thought of. One little niggle in the ground floor bedroom the sliding door to the ensuite was broken and could not be closed which was rather awkward and a real shame. It wasn’t fixed during our stay but I think this needed more urgent attention. Luckily there is a downstairs toilet.

  • "A lovely modern comfortable house with excellent equipment."

Also supplied with a few basics which is very nice too. Well situated for the village and river.

  • "This is a delightful house for a relaxing break."

It was our third visit and it is just as lovely now as when we first went. Beautifully and thoughtfully refurbished and decorated with every possible mod con and a calm and peaceful vibe. It restores the soul. We love it.

  • "The property was amazing."

One of the best we’ve ever stayed in. We had a few issues with the heating coming on at what seemed like random times. And would’ve appreciated blinds to every window. But other than that is a great place - location, layout, fixtures and fittings are 10/10.

  • "What a gem- the generosity of spirit of the owners made us feel like we were staying with friends."

Nowadays many cottages just provide the bare minimum - there was an excess of all the essentials here. As two couples who had just hosted separate big family Christmases this was a New Year oasis of Scandi calm and a treat. From the beautiful toiletries, wide range of cookery/home books and calm surroundings it definitely felt more like staying at a spa.....and I haven't even started on how great Orford is for walks and eateries. A perfect start to 2024!

Can't fault it. Excellent location as well.

  • "One of the best holiday lets we have ever stayed in, every little detail was attended to."

The only improvements could have been making sure the door in the downstairs en suite was repaired, my son’s partner almost got stuck, despite the note left for us about it and simple instructions available for the hob, oven and dishwasher….more sophisticated than we are used to!! Other than that a wonderful week, despite storm Ciaran trying to do its best!
