  • "A great cottage very well presented, all amenities available in the cottage for a lovely stay."

Very clean, clean linen, towels, toiletries, the cottage was lovely and warm especially with the Arga generating nice heat and constant hot water. Surrounding garden huge and picturesque. Overall the relaxing ambience created an enjoyable stay for our family.

  • "We loved our stay."

Cottage and garden were wonderful. Would suggest a full length mirror. 2 more chairs in the sunroom; one upright armchair with arms would be useful as the sofa was too low for my disabled friend. However these are not criticisms as we were very comfortable and it otherwise exceeded our expectations. Would definitely return.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage."

It provided all we needed and we appreciated the owner allowing us to take a second dog. It was all clean and tidy and provided us with a perfect setting to relax and explore the area.

  • "Lovely setting for this beautiful cottage."

Such a delight to look at the grounds especially on a rainy day. We really enjoyed all the country walks from the door but also being so near to Bury St Edmunds for all its facilities. A problem that I had was using an AGA cooker for the first time with no instructions. We couldn’t eat out with two such elderly mothers in tow & I wonder what we would have done in the Summer months with only a microwave. Certainly something I will bare in mind when I make a future booking.

  • "The house and the estate were just magnificent."

We have enjoyed every second of our stay. We did not miss anything in the house and appreciated there being a sufficient amount of towels and even a bottle of wine and some cookies. We felt 100% welcome and were very sad to have to leave after three days. And not to forget the owners' Golden Retrievers, who were dearly loved by our kids. Thank you very much for everything!

  • "The property is well presented and equipped, in lovely surroundings with plenty of wildlife about, the owner came and introduced his self but there were no problems so we never seen him again but knew where to go if there had of been."

Local shop and pub10 min walk over the fields or 20 minutes by the road, town about 10 minute drive (Bury St Edmunds), plenty of walks from the cottage, we will definitely be returning to this gem of a property
