Crabapple Cottage, Southwold

We can’t fault this property.

It is ideally situated only minutes from the beach/pier but still in a quiet location. We were a 2 car party but on-street parking for one car wasn’t a problem. We loved the enclosed garden, which had plenty of seating and a substantial table suitable for 6. All the equipment is high quality and everything scrupulously clean. Wifi excellent. Southwold and its surrounding area is a lovely holiday destination with many places of interest and activities available. It was a pleasure to come back to Crabapple Cottage after a full day out.

A delightful cottage in a stunning location.

Immaculately presented both inside and out. The garden was beautiful and the seating area under a shady tree was perfect place to relax and read a good book.

As frequent visitors to Southwold, this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in.

Spacious and well equipped.

This is the second time we have stayed at Crabapple Cottage in November.

The property is lovely with a spacious feel, so well equipped. We also found the beds very comfortable. We have stayed in Southwold for many years and Crabapple rates as one of the best. So thank you to Crabapple owners for a lovely 10 days. We will hopefully be back!

Crabapple Cottage is a fabulous holiday home in a great location to explore the delights of Southwold and the surrounding countryside.

. so good to have parking and the enclosed garden ideal for young grandchildren. The cottage is well resourced , spacious and ideal for multi generational family holidays.

We were amazed at how spacious it is. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The cottage is minutes away from the pier and having a designated parking spot was so useful. We would definitely stay again

We enjoyed our stay at Crabapple cottage which was very comfortable, well equipped and in a very good position.

The only reasons for the less than 5 star rating was the condition of the pillows and some of the towels which had both seen better days. We were also astonished when at 8.45 on our last morning, a cleaner and window cleaner let themselves through to the back garden with no notice having pushed their way past our car and several wheelie bins on the drive. Luckily we were both dressed but we thought this put us under pressure and was inconsiderate to say the least.

We loved our week in Crabapple Cottage which is ideally located within a few minutes walk of the seafront and shops.

It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. We certainly hope to return to this excellent property and to further explore this lovely part of Suffolk which has such a rich, fascinating history. We especially enjoyed Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge - and loved staying in Southwold itself.

Quality appliances with everything you could need. Comfortable beds with a sea view from the master bedroom. Lovely well maintained garden which we made full use of. Good information folder. Easy walk to the beach and also into the centre of Southwold. We will return.

We have been having holidays in Southwold for many years with our family.

We have just returned home from our sixth stay in Crabapple Cottage. It is perfect for us. The owners obviously read and act on realistic suggestions in the visitors book. The property is well maintained, and improved every time we visit, hopefully we can make it a seventh!

Beautiful property in spotless condition in a fabulous location.

Very well equipped kitchen for eating in and easy walk to all local amenities. Loved watching the bunnies in the garden, keeping the grass under control! Another fantastic holiday home away from home.

Beautiful cottage,found clean and tidy,Everything you need to eat in if wanted.Only slight criticismI I would have thought that body wash containers could be fixed to the wall in the showers as in most 5 star hotels and self catering.We will be back to georgious Southwold soon .

We spent a week at Crapapple cottage over the Easter holidays.

One of our favourite properties so far and we have been coming to Southwold for the last 12 years! Modern and a great space for the family.

This was our first time in Crabapple Cottage and what a lovely property where we spent 10 days.

The house is spacious. The ground floor has a good sized bedroom with access to the main bathroom. Opposite there is a separate toilet and a utility room. There is a well equipped open plan kitchen and comfortable living area, leading to garden. Upstairs are two further stylish bedrooms both en-suite , one twin and the master with views looking across to the sea. All in all a great time was had by all. We will be back!

This was a great holiday cottage and ideal for 3 generations.

The 2 yr old loved the secure garden space and so lovely to have parking too. The cottage is a real home from home and so spacious & comfortable. An easy walk to all amenities - beach, shops, pier, pubs & chippy. A holiday home I’d definitely recommend and hope to return to.

Great location.

Clean and modern. Perfect size for us. Well equipped with lots of cooking utensils. We would have appreciated a coffee cafetière. Perhaps there could be one for next year (we’ve already booked 2025 stay). It really is a super house. We all enjoyed our stay..

This is the nicest place we have stayed over our many years of coming to Southwold!

It had everything we needed, and was spotlessly clean. It was so lovely to have three ensuite bathrooms as well.

Cannot do better than say that it’s our fifth time here and we have already booked for 2025.

Perfect for a family holiday.

A lack of instructions for tv, microwave, heating.

We didn’t use gas hob as horrified at having to light it with ‘wand’ as in my grandmother’s house. The water softening process left scum in any hot drinks so we reverted to cold drinks. The tv aerial and cables to three attachments were reconfigured to allow access to BBC channels after three visits by various ‘staff’. This took four days. We stripped the bed when we left and wished we hadn’t as the mattress was stained and bobbled. We’re not sure whether the owners are reluctant to correct issues/spend money or this standard is considered acceptable by Sykes and Best of Suffolk.

Crabapple Cottage gave us the wonderful break that we needed.

Its close proximity to the pier, sea and high street meant that we were able to walk everywhere that we needed too. The house its self is probably one of the best equipped that we have stayed in. Everything we needed had been thought about. Beautifully decorated throughout. Super comfy beds, decent sized towels, all clean and tidy, meant that we didn’t really have to worry about anything.

Crabapple Cottage is a lovely house, warm and comfortable, well presented and with everything provided that you could possibly want, and in sufficient quantities.

Its also in a very convenient position for the Pier/Beach and shops at Southwold. We had trouble getting in once and the speed of local response was excellent over a B/H weeklend. I think the deadlock button partially drops down inadvertently, preventing operation of the Yale lock. Leaving the inside key out of the patio door lock does enable access from the rear as a contingency. There are a couple of minor issues for the maintenance team: The Oven bulb has gone The under basin cabinet handle in the shower room of the master bedroom pulls away on the LHS and needs a more effective screw Ian & Lone

Lovely property in a great location.

The owners really have tried to cater to all your needs. Personally I would like a dressing table with a mirror to sit and dry and style my hair. Also felt the size of the living area would benefit from a larger tv. That said, didn't detract from our stay. Would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

Very well stocked with everything you might need and located perfectly for beach and town centre. You would be very sad to find anything wrong with this place!

This is the second time we have visited Crabtree Cottage, last time in 2018 October.

Loved the cottage, very comfortable, everythiing we needed, Love Southwold and the weather was sunny all weekend, it is expensive but would recommend it to anyone. Pauline & Andrew, Trevor & Sally + Yvonne.

The house is so relaxing and space has been thought out so well. Lovely to have our own bathrooms. We are old school friends and have been many places for breaks together, but crabapple has spoilt us and hard to find anything so good. So easy positioned for all facilities in Southwold.
