  • "Absolutely loved our stay, stayed in a number of properties in Southwold and this is the best one by far."

The layout and position were perfect. Would definitely like to stay again.

  • "We loved every aspect, location was perfect and the house was very well equipped."

The only concern was the steep flight of stairs to the master bedroom. It should be noted in describing the property as having an older (86) husband I was very worried about coming down at night to use the loo. So we didn’t use it.

  • "This was the second time we have stayed at Kestrel Cottage - the repeat booking made primarily because of the location and what the cottage offers in terms of space, layout and amenities."

The cottage was presented in immaculate condition and the addition of the hut in the garden is a great improvement!

  • "We couldn't have chosen any where that suited us so well."

All the rooms were big are airy. The kitchen diner was amazing and looked out onto the patio garden with a beach hut at the end of the garden. It was south facing so sun all day. The bathroom was 1st class with a corner bath and walk.in shower. This is the only holiday let that provided facilities for baking ie hand mixer, scales , cake tins. This was great for me as I'm Coeliac and bake all my own cakes. Southwold has an abundance of shops and eateries. We found a place called Coasters that catered for my gluten free/dairy free diet The only disappointment was the TV. Although there was Sky , the majority of the channels weren't available via the account . It didn't affect us too much as we had good weather, but as another customer pointed out they couldn't watch TV. All in all we had a wonderful holiday. We love Southwold and everything about it .

  • "We thought the property was equipped to a high standard and very comfortable."

The kitchen/diner was large and well equipped. I would recommend it and would stay there again. The basins in the bedrooms were a bonus. I would not want to stay there with 6 adults the property is too small with one bathroom, we were only 2. We found the TV almost impossible to work and could only get obscure American channels.

  • "This property was so perfectly located that it felt like we had hired a beach hut on the beach which turned into a spacious 3 bedroom house when you walked inside."

It was so perfectly clean, wonderfully stocked and was everything we could have wished for. The only downside was that we didn't stay longer. Thank you for having us. We'll definitely be back.

Close to the sea, pubs and shops. Will certainly use it again when we choose Southwold for a holiday.
