Victoria Cottage (4 East Green)

We had a fabulous stay at Victoria Cottage.

What a gorgeous cottage, we felt at home straight away. It’s a bright welcoming house, well equipped and really comfortable, including the beds! We had great communication from the owners and they were very kind and helpful when my car had a flat battery on the last day. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is just where we wanted to be, very near the sea.

It was comfortable. We look forward to coming again next year.

We had a lovely stay at Victoria Cottage for a girls' weekend.

The house was very sweet and just what we needed. The sheets were extremely soft, and the pillows were a dream. Really nice treats were left for our stay as well with a bottle of wine. An all-around great stay! My only feedback is that there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper left in the house for 3 people for the weekend. An extra in each toilet would have been appreciated. Thanks!

Charming cottage in a central Southwold location.

Ideal for beach access and shops, hostellries to try the Adnams! We loved the space the cottage offered, compact but perfect for our party of three,and the secure garden for the dogs. We will return!

We had a lovely stay at Victoria Cottage, it had everything we needed for our short break,the beds were really comfortable as was the pillows.

There is a great selection of board games. The property was spotless. Our only negative was the sofas , very uncomfortable (sorry) but it wouldn’t put us off coming back in the summer. A fantastic property

Victoria cottage was truly perfect.

From the decorations for Christmas and the communication with the owners. Everything was perfect and we had a wonderful Christmas break. So close to all amenities yet never noisy. Having the beach so close was amazing.

We loved the light in Victoria Cottage.

The interior was very tastefully decorated, with kind decs for Christmas a bonus. It was extremely warm and cosy. So handy for both beach and the high street. Gorgeously comfy beds with fabulous linens and towels. We are hoping to return for more in 2026.

We had the most amazing stay at Victoria Cottage.

It is a stunning property and we felt so comfortable and at home. We stay in Southwold twice a year and have stayed in many lovely properties but this has to be our favourite. The attention to detail was fabulous and it really is a beautiful place to stay. Amazing location and so comfortable.

The property is in an excellent position for all amenities.

Close to beach, pubs and town centre. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Look forward to staying again, hopefully not before too long.

What a lovely home Victoria house is, it had everything we needed, very clean, comfortable stay, location fantastic, could not fault it.

This was our fourth stay at East Green.

Delighted it stayed as a holiday cottage following its sale last year. The cottage has had a few improvements (new locks on the doors are a big help). It has also been redecorated here and there. I believe there are plans to replace the carpet in the upstairs toilet (which would benefit from a wipe clean material). We do love this cottage. Very well positioned and everything you might need included within the listing. The only negative things to say are two things. The staining of the carpets upstairs which spoils the immaculate interior (this seems to be mostly in the spare double bedroom). We found the new sofas are also extremely uncomfortable (which is a shame as I believe they are probably good quality). The new outside seats are a welcome addition although we didn’t use them as the weather was so changeable. Welcome pack was a really nice touch, thank you Lisa for the gift.

Fabulous cottage, beautifully presented.

Very well equipped kitchen, which we appreciated. The garden is actually a much better space than the photos would suggest. Perfect for a Southwold break.

The only thing to mention is the the lock on the front door frame being about 9 inches from the ground is impossible as an 80 year old to get down that low.

So if that could be raised to a decent level that would be great Yours sincerely M N Hutchence.

Fabulous cottage in a great location.

Very well kitted out with everything required for a comfortable stay. Welcome gifts were a lovely touch, too. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Really lovely self catering cottage.

So pretty, cosy and sweet. Fabulous location. Very central, you couldn’t ask for a better spot near everything from sea to shopping to pubs and gardens. By lighthouse and little greens with trees. Tasteful interior decor. Top notch kitchen appliances. Private garden. Upstairs loo. I look forward to staying there again. I visited in winter and they put out seasonal decorations and ornamental lights which made us feel valued and welcome. Not to mention a kind gift and bottle of wine. I’d say it’s the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in Southwold. The bed was comfy with quality bed linens. The stairs were easy to use (unlike many old places where they can be too narrow or steep). I highly recommend this property. No complaints at all it’s a perfect bolthole in one of England’s best coastal towns. 10 out of 10.
