  • "We recently stayed at a holiday cottage in Thorpeness and had a really enjoyable experience."

    The cottage was full of character and perfectly located for exploring the village, with the beach, Meare, and local amenities all just a short walk away. Inside, the cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The living spaces were cosy, the kitchen had all the essentials, and the bedrooms were inviting after a day out by the coast. We especially appreciated the little touches that made it feel homely and welcoming. Thorpeness itself is a charming spot – peaceful, picturesque, and ideal for a coastal break. Whether it was walking along the beach, hiring a boat on the Meare, or just enjoying the quirky history of the village, there was plenty to do without ever feeling rushed. Overall, the cottage provided an excellent base for our stay and made the trip to Thorpeness even more memorable. We’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the Suffolk coast.

  • "Beautiful property ."

    Spacious clean very seaside orientated themed decor which fits with location ..hosts had thought of everything from spare toilet rolls to a box of board games etc. Lovely setting great location ..highly recommend

  • "Lovely property."

    Easy to find. No parking problems. Well equipped. Just be aware, there is no grocery shop in the village and no petrol station for 5 or 6 miles!

  • "Beautiful property, spotlessly clean with very well equipped kitchen."

    Comfortable beds. Thorpeness is a really interesting place, and we enjoyed days out at Southwold, Aldeborough, Sutton Hoo, Dunwich, and the Maltings at Snape is well worth a visit. Really can't think of anything negative to say!

  • "Perfect location and really spacious house."

    Felt much bigger than the pics appeared, especially upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms were really spacious. Nicely furnished and modern fittings made for a comfortable and enjoyable break! Would definitely recommend.

Enjoying a superb setting in the seaside town of Thorpeness, 4 The Dunes offers spacious accommodation ideal for family gatherings or a get-together of family and friends.

The property boasts captivating views over the iconic Thorpeness Meare as well as having far-reaching views to the sea.

The gardens here are a particular feature and are the ideal spot to pull up a chair and soak up the views while enjoying alfresco drinking and dining time.

The inside is equally as impressive with stylish and well-presented interiors making guests feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door.

The sitting room is particularly inviting with ample seating arranged around a gorgeously warming woodburning stove and there is an additional chill-out space in the form of a snug, offering a great alternative area for relaxing.

The kitchen is comprehensively fitted and the breakfast bar is the perfect place for guests to pour themselves a tipple, pull up a chair and keep the designated chef company.

Meals can be served at the elegant dining table or you can throw open the feature bi-folding doors and step onto the sunny decking area and eat outside.

All that fresh air will no doubt have tired everyone out so guests can choose from a king-size, a double and two twin bedrooms; all are beautifully finished and offer a calming holiday sanctuary.
