  • "Holm Oak Cottage is beautifully presented and laid out."

Large patio windows in the dining area looking out to a field of sheep - perfect. Visiting during autumn meant we had a spectacular display of colour all around us. Really peaceful location. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. It was warm and the open plan living area was so lovely. Nice decor and interior throughout. The reason I gave 4* is because we had an issue with hot water supply in the mornings. Also, a 'welcome in' pint of milk would have been really appreciated after a long drive!

  • "This little cottage ticked every box we asked for."

The property was clean and tidy when we arrived and had everything we needed. There was more than enough space and seating for two couples and a dog and it was lovely to stay somewhere where dogs are allowed on the furniture provided they are on a blanket. Nearby there are several lovely places to go for a walk and it was wonderful to then come back and light the fire, which was incredibly efficient to get the space nice and toasty!

  • "Beautiful cottage with stunning views and very peaceful."

All decorated to a high standard and the beds very comfortable. Sadly, the log burner had not been cleaned following previous guests and there was no kindling, 2 matches and 1 log for a fire. There was no instructions in the property for either the heating or the log burner which made for a chilly stay.
