Sylvian

We had a lovely stay in Sylvian, even the weather was good.

It's a good base for exploring the area. Silvia made us very welcome and the flat was warm, cosy and well equipped. The only slight hic-up was the dishwasher wasn't very good at washing dishes. Not a problem to us, we happily washed up ourselves. I will add that while we were there we were told that a stair lift would be fitted. Again, not a problem to us with our carry-on cases. Anyone using larger cases might find negotiating the bottom of the stairs a little tricky.

Great location for town centre and station.

Great parking addition, really handy. Everything you need in the kitchen and more. We felt the general cleanliness of the property wasn't Great. Stains in fridge, kitchen things felt and looked like they needed a wash before use. There was alot of mugs, glasses, plates.. more than what the property needs. Would be handy to have a empty cupboard for our food etc. It was handy to have 2 loo's, separate shower and a bath. Quiet location. Lots of storage space which was great, and great they allow dogs. Overall we were pleased, just needed a good clean and sort out of excess things.

The apartment was bright and airy!

It had all the facilities needed for a peaceful stay. The bed was really comfortable. It was a short walk from the shops and sea front great stay oh and parking for free was very nice

This cottage was listed as suitable for 4 adult persons but it was not if you consider this to be a holiday stay.

To create the 4th adult sleep place, needed a foldable bed that could just fit into the small sleeping room. And also in the room/kitchen only a 2 person couch and 1 additional chair was there, so no sitting room for the 4th person. In my opinion, this cottage absolutely cannot be sold for 4 adult persons. Further more the place was not very clean, plumbing issues with the toilet, dish washer did not work correct and the bath did not have a shower option. The kitchen was not practical, where the cooking area and sink were separated in the room. The lady owner was very friendly though but that doesn’t change my opinion about the gab on how this cottage was advertised versus how it appears to be in reality.

We had a great holiday at Sylvian.

The flat is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It looks over a lovely garden at the back and has the bonus of a parking space at the front. The beds were so comfortable and we loved staying here. The location is great too. We walked to the train station in minutes to travel to Eastbourne for the day. We also enjoyed a visit to the English Heritage site at Battle; where the famous battle was fought in 1066. Afterwards we explored Hastings and the views from the top of the East Cliff were spectacular (accessed by the funicular railway). In Bexhill we had lovely walks along the promenade and a great meal at the Trattoria Italian restaurant in Devonshire Road. We would love to stay at Sylvian again in the future!

We keep coming back to Sylvian.

Was a wonderful holiday home very comfy beds parking for one car owner was a very pleasant person although we had no problems at all got the impression if you did she would have got it sorted for you great location .

sea,shops and park all within a ten minute walk Frequency of buses to Eastbourne and Hastings brilliant and if you are a oap great use your bus pass Battle abbey well worth a visit Dog friendly Charlie was happy the bull inn pub about 7 min drive was dog friendly food was good the menu had a lot to choose from All 4 of us had a great holiday and would not hesitate to in going back

Still great. Flat is spacious and clean. Parking in front of the door. Shops and sea within walking distance. We will definitely come back again!

We were welcomed by a nice, older lady.

The location is quite good. However, the apartment is in great need of renovation. E.g. sagging beds, wobbly chairs, the table was disgustingly sticky. Even wiping it didn't help. We didn't feel comfortable there. We were happy that we continued traveling after our 3 nights booked.

Property was well situated,only problem we had were the toilets,wouldn't flush,contacted the owner,wouldn't come out till we were leaving, three of us in apartment using buckets of water to clear,wasn't impressed at all considering amount we paid for week,wouldn't go again.

think she needs to think on letting apartment again,I'm.sure there's more than one plumber in bexhill

Had a great stay.

The only minor problem we had was that the electric went off, this was probably because the meters had just been changed to smart meters, the problem was fixed and did not really impact on our holiday. Thanks for a lovely Stay.

Sylvia is a lovely lady.

Very helpful. The flat was spotless and very well equipped. Sorry for the noise though( we have a poorly baby and he needed suctioning through the night and the machine is very noisy. Thankyou for being so welcoming .

Affordable, clean, spacious and super location!

Sea and shops within walking distance. Private parking and now also fast wifi! Lots to do in the area eg Hastings and Eastbourne.

Had a lovely holiday, we were lucky, the weather was nice and sunny all week.

Went to Eastbourne, Hastings, Tenterden, Battle, plenty to see and do using Bexhaill as a base. Good Bus and Train Services, used both, very successful.. Highly recommended.

Needs shower mat as I slipped in shower, internet wouldn't connect , toilet hard to flush , kitchen units a little tired and dated .

..only had one set of clean bedding so had bedding on for 2 weeks, no instructions for the washing machine ...but it was a clean flat and bed was comfy

Good value for money.

Close to the sea and shops . The apartment is spacious and clean. The furniture is a bit dated and slow wifi. But for the price you can't complain! Private parking is also a big plus!

Quiet, homely holiday home close to conveniences and the seaside.

The beds are very good and two bedrooms are also useful. The apartment is close to town and is very clean. I would book again at any time.The price-performance ratio is also very good in comparison.

We had a really comfortable stay at Sylvian for a week.

Family of 4: 2 adults and 2 teenagers and there was plenty of room. As a base it was ideal and in close proximity to all the main coastal towns and places of interest. The town of Bexhill just a short walk away where there were 2 supermarkets and plenty of local shops and facilities including the train station. Highly recommended.

Conveniently situated for shops and beach.

Spotlessly clean. Lots of great places to visit nearby. We particularly enjoyed Battle Abbey and hiring electric bikes in Camber Sands.

It was clean and spacious, an ideal base to explore the south coast

We are still waiting for the reimbursment for the plumbing problem

Accommodation was light and airy and in a good central position, near shops and not far to the sea.

Nice place to stay for a couple of days and do beautiful walks in Cumbe valley and Hastings country park.

Very friendly host and a large comfortable appartment.
