Mutley Hall

Basic & cramped in bedroom.

No instructions for cooker etc. No starter pack tea,coffee etc Lights flicker a lot & bedroom switch doesn't always work. Would be greatly improved by 2nd bedside table & light, hooks on all internal doors and grass in garden.

The only change i'd make to the property, is to put a comfier sofa in the lounge.

Me and my friend staying at Mutley Hall, often use our backs in work, so seating comfort ranks highly on our needs.

I’ll start on the positives, comfortable bed, plenty towels, lovely bathroom, adequate parking, decent tv and Wi-Fi.

No instructions for the oven, asked the owner, not much help, my husband figured it out eventually. Someone had exploded something in the microwave, it was still on the inside and smelled awful, we couldn’t use it. The kettle was in a disgusting state, furred up with limescale, including the filter. The non stick saucepans had been badly damaged by use of metal utensils, I wouldn’t use them. The ice box in the fridge was so iced up the small door to it wouldn’t close. The fridge therefore was not working properly and our milk went sour. Outside there is a broken plastic bench, on top of it were some rotten decking boards with rusty nails sticking out of it. The cottage is fully carpeted including the kitchen part, I couldn’t vacuum the crumbs because the vacuum cleaner was broken in two pieces.

We loved our stay at Mutley Hall.

On our arrival it was great we had and useful we had our own parking space. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the location was central to all the places we wanted to visit. Overall we had a lovely stay. However we found we didn't have enough cutlery, for eating, there was only one knife, so we purchased two and left them for the next customers. No bowl for salad or fruit and it would have been great if there were bowls for pasta. Inside of cupboards could have done with a clean. The toilet had black staining under the rim which I did try to clean off but it didn't work. We didn't feel there were enough oven trays for cooking, no oven glove or tea towel provided. The glass side table needed fixing as the glass would slide off if you wanted to use the small table. Some basic instructions would have been useful for the oven/cooker. As I have stated we did enjoy our stay at Mutley Hall the above comments didn't spoil our holiday but if we don't mention them they can't be put right.

It was very nice could do with some maintenance But very good and a lovely stay and good for the dog
