Situated tucked away yet close to lots of places it’s a spacious comfortable well equipped holiday home. There are so many footpaths straight from the door so we walked miles with our dog. There are also 2 pubs within walking distance, we used the Fox and highly recommend. We parked outside of places like Brighton, Arundel and Worthing and walked to them via footpaths which was easy. Plenty of supermarkets around but did have to use car for that as not walkable( no milk in fridge on arrival so take some with you) but all in all loved this barn and would definitely stay again.

We felt that the place was in need of refurbishment. The windows where is need of re-lacement. One of the patio doors wouldn’t open. The bath did not have an operational hot tap. The furnishings/fittings well used, I.e. the lampshade in the bedroom was torn. The bedding was crumpled and did not appear to have been professionally laundered. We did not feel it deserved 4 ticks. We felt minimal effort was put on to welcome visitors. There was no visitors book for comments. No welcome pack. Not even a bottle of milk. We left early.

The cottage is so beautifully located in an extremely quiet position with a beautiful view across cornfields and local walks from the door. If I could say one thing, and it's about the local footpaths. Since lockdown, local people have been discovering and using footpaths in great numbers. That's fine, as long as they clean up their dog-poo, but the amount of dog-mess on the nearby paths was really disgusting. Could the villagers band together to press the local council to provide dog-bins. And shame the dog-walkers into using them.

There is good walking available from the property and many local attractions are within easy reach. Chichester, Arundel and Brighton are well worth visiting (we went to Chichester by Coastliner bus from Littlehampton and used the free Park and Ride on the outskirts of Brighton). Endless possibilities for walking our dog(mostly off the lead, even on the beach nearby!). The garden was nicely fenced for an escape-prone dog as we have... The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The view from the cottage over the fields never became boring. Nevertheless a few critical remarks: the outside of the cottage could do with some TLC (paint...), the gate needs some repair, WIFI was mostly very poor and during our second week the TV signal was strange enough rather poor, especially at nights! Since we had al lot of warm to hot weather with a lot of sunshine we could have done with an umbrella in the garden and perhaps a few sunbeds for the lazy moments!
