"Absolutely stunning little cottage situated a short drive from John O'Groats."
The owner was lovely from the day we arrived, she is joined to the property but you get complete privacy so please dont let that put you off staying there, the views looking out into the sea were stunning, the property itself was immaculate with everything you would need for a short stay or even longer, I would deffo consider staying there again.

"A lovely bolthole close to the NC500 route."
Beautifully presented by Rosemary, who was a lovely host. Would highly recommend

"We were welcomed by the host on arrival to this lovely cottage."
What an amazing view over the sea from the front windows! We had everything we needed, and the laundry room was a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. If you’re bringing dogs, just note there is no gate between the driveway and the road, but this was not a problem for us. We couldn’t walk from the property with the dogs, but there is a large garden at the back, and walks at Keiss, which is a few minutes drive away. The Village Inn in Keiss do great takeaway fish and chips! All in all a great property to stay in.

"An amazing place to stay with great views and great access to visit places."
The property has everything you could need and is of a high standard, we only wish we could have stayed longer! The owner has put together a great info folder which we found very useful with great recommendations to go along with our general adventuring. Overall a fantastic place to stay and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

"The welcome treats and milk were greatly appreciated."
The house was extremely clean with nice soft furnishings throughout and was lovely and warm. We booked this property for the views which didn’t disappoint in fact they were even better than we could have imagined

"It was a lovely place but there are one or two problems the biggest one is the fact there arent not enough cupboards to put your provisions in."
The lighting in the living room had only one switch for two lights which meant the lights wouldnt come on separetly! A nother one the hallway light had only one switch halfway along the room .. not where you walk in!
-
"Absolutely beautiful cottage, it is attached to the owners house but in no way does that compromise the beauty of this little cottage."
My wife an I have to say this has got to be one of the cleanest places we have stayed in for a very long time. The views across the sea are stunning and the early morning sunrise is magnificent. We cannot wait to stay again and the host Rosemary is a very lovely lady. Thank you for such a beautiful stay.

"This cottage is modern, clean and comfortable."
The owner had thought of everything to provide all the equipment needed- even some bubble bath for the huge bath. The location is just 15 mins from John O groats and a few minutes from the harbour at Keiss- lovely coastal walk to see Keiss Castle! I would highly recommend this accommodation.

"We were welcomed by Rosemary who was lovely."
She gave us lots of idea's for things to do during our stay. The cottage was absolutely lovely, very clean, warm and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and so were the settees in the lounge. It had everything we needed. The views across the sea were amazing, as we're the sunrises. There is so much to see and do in that area. We will definitely be back.
-

"Our stay at ‘Duart at the Sea’ was amazing!"
The annexe was super clean, and the hosts were really friendly. We loved their adorable dogs and even got a glimpse of the chickens. They recommended some great places to eat and explore, which made our trip even better. Waking up to beautiful sunrises overlooking the sea was such a treat, and the whole place had a peaceful, relaxing vibe. Can’t wait to book another stay!
-
"Absolutely perfect stay!"
The accommodation was spotlessly clean, more than big enough, lovely warm and cosy to come back to after blustery beach walks. The chickens were delightful to watch pottering around outside. We really loved our week away and didn't want to come home! Highly recommend and perfect for our little family (baby and dog both agree too haha). Excellent location as well, we will miss those sun rises and sun sets! And we were lucky enough to spot the northern lights! Honestly the perfect week away thank you so much xxxx

"Lovely cottage with stunning views of the sea."
This is probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in. It was very clean and comfortable. The cottage had everything you needed and was spacious. Great area to explore and we visited John o groats, Thurso wick and enjoyed walking the area. The small book of walks which Rosemary had left out for guests was fabulous and we used it every day. The hens and chickens were a delight to wake upto and watch out of the window. An outstanding stay and we hope we will visit again!!
-
"A wonderful property, lovely and clean, well stocked with everything you coukd need to make your stay perfect even milk in the fridge!"
The views are stunning and being situated between Wick and John o Groats was ideal. Would highly recommend this property.

"We received a warm welcome off the owner Rosemary."
She made sure we had all we needed to make our first day perfect including a bottle of milk. We were even given fresh eggs from the chickens that are in the garden. The photos don’t do it justice. The annex is beautifully laid out with a huge bathroom and fresh towels. There is a shared utility with washer and dryer, so no having to spend hours when you get home. It is decorated beautifully and has a selection of Books to read whilst you’re there. The views of the sea are amazing. If you are lucky you might see the pod of Minky Whales that are in the area and if you are very lucky and the atmosphere is right Aurora Borealis could light the sky for you. An exceptional holiday let and we can’t wait to go back.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. You were fab guests to host Rosemary Property Owner
