We had a great week at Osprey Lodge.

Very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need. Shower lovely a few more towels would have been nice. The bed was comfy, plenty of space for clothes. We loved the floor to ceiling windows. It was so peaceful and quiet. Fill the bird feeders it's worth it lots of small birds. A Woodpecker visted and Red Squirel who came right to the front door if you put peanuts out. The only down side was we had no TV or wyfi for three days. It was fixed but we did miss it. In October it gets dark at 6.30. But over all a great stay.

Our two week stay at Osprey was really nice, the apartment itself is open plan living with shower bathroom in the centre, nice size bedroom at the rear and kitchenette at the front.

Paper blinds for privacy. It's above the mountain hare apartment so steps at the side to enter and you walk past the lower apartment windows to get to Osprey. Wonderful view of the forest from skylights and entrance door / little balcony, great wildlife lots of birds come to feeders if you fill them up with birdfood, had a red squirrel one morning as opened the blinds to the balcony. As it's got sloping low ceilings you do have to watch heads and shoulders as we both banged ourselves a few times. Kitchen is really small so not a lot of space for stuff. Seemed to retain the heat really well presumably from the downstairs which it shares the heating system with, temp thermostat is weird didn't seem to react to us changing that but more reactive to the radiator regulator if we turned these up or down. There is something not quite right with the heat pump set up as hot water pressure is very low, shower is non existent but good got temp but also would not drain properly as shower tray just fills up with water and drains at a snail pace, downstairs to us have the boiler and it makes a loud clunking sound everytime we had a shower, they raised this with sykes while we were there and an engineer came out but was still doing it after this. Also you can hear the constant sound of the heat pump like hot water being heated in pipes (shhhhhh type sound) which is a bit annoying as goes on all through the night. Definitely needs some maintenance on the heating, hot water and shower elements but it is a lovely place to stay, setting is wonderful with so many fabulous walks into the Cairngorms on your doorstep without having to drive anywhere.

We loved the Apartment.

As we didn’t have a washing machine clean towels half way through our week would have been a bonus . The stairs and balcony were pretty grubby which came into apartment .Would have been nice to get bathroom towel rail on to dry our towels . Everything else was great . Will come again .
