We absolutely loved our stay!

The property has an incredible castle-like feel that made our trip feel truly unique and memorable. It was the perfect fit for our large family, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy time together. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the location couldn't have been better. We were within walking distance of restaurants and bars, while also being surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was easy to access the main road, and grocery stores were conveniently nearby, making everything simple and stress-free. What really set this stay apart was the communication from the hosts. It was, without question, some of the best communication we have ever experienced with any vacation rental. Every question was answered promptly, and everything was clearly explained from start to finish. This property exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely love to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, comfortable, and well-located place to stay. A+++ experience!

Great location and just a beautiful home!

We enjoyed our stay at Ballenreich very much!

We were in walking distance to everything we wanted. We loved the animal themed rooms! The host, Maureen, met us when we arrived and was available for any questions during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

The property offers an excellent location, conveniently situated just ten minutes from the shopping center and five minutes from both Tesco and Aldi.

The premises were consistently well-maintained. However, we must advise caution regarding the floor mats. Several members of our group experienced slips, resulting in minor injuries, necessitating the temporary removal of these mats for the duration of our stay. This may pose a concern for individuals with mobility challenges. It should be noted that the living room seating capacity is limited to six individuals, as it does not feature the two additional chairs depicted in the promotional imagery. Furthermore, the window in the single bedroom is obstructed by the curtain pole, preventing it from opening. While this was not an issue during our visit, it could become problematic during warmer periods. We observed a significant temperature differential between the upper and lower levels of the property, a common occurrence in larger residences. Simultaneous showering by multiple individuals led to fluctuations in water temperature; however, this can be managed with mindful usage. Overall, it was a great property with a limited view of the castle.

The cottage in Ballenreich was amazing.

A short walk to all of the restaurants and activities in Inverness. We walked in and out of town at least once a day with ease. The home is very spacious and lovely, immaculately clean, well-stocked with kitchen supplies, all of the furnishings are comfortable and inviting. I would definitely spend time in this home again.

Excellence location for easy access to the city centre with plenty of private parking.

Accommodation very suitable for our family group and the men appreciated the welcome gift.

We had a lovely stay with our family of six in Inverness.

The house was roomy and comfortable and an easy walk into town. It’s not far from the train and there is a launderette very close. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend!

Everything was perfect and very cozy.

I will stay there again when I visit Inverness.

The house is very convenient to town and an easy walk from the train. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of space. Though some bedrooms and baths were small, it was nice not having to share. The grocery and laundromat were also close by. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic stay for the whole family for my 65th birthday.

Ample parking and easy 10 minute walk to town centre. Located between the river ness and Caledonian canal so a few fantastic walking experiences.

A lovely home, convenient to walk to the village, and wonderful communication with the owner. Having off-street parking was a great convenience. Everyone in my group felt this was the best facility of our trip.

!! This was an absolutely beautiful house in a beautiful part of Scotland. We were so comfortable here with all the lovely little luxuries. Having travelled throughout the Scottish Highlands to many amazing places, it was a pleasure to return to 16a Fairfield Road. The house was clean and the different themed bedrooms were beautifully decorated. This cottage is truly a jewel in the crown that is the Scottish Highlands.

The property and landlady are both perfection!

Not only is the house more than as described but the hospitality is superb. Please list this address as one of you top sites! The location is also perfect yet in a quiet neighborhood with zero noise or distractions. It’s on my list of “use when in Inverness” Thank you is inadequate to Mrs. Moffat!

The accommodation was brilliant.

Lovely and clean with all our needs met. Maureen was very hospitable. A great place with easy access to the city and plenty of tour trips available to book. Would highly recommend taking a stage coach bus from the city centre yo chanonry point to see the dolphins.

Our group of 3 couples and 2 friends had a pleasant stay at this holiday cottage.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped. However, washbasins in the en-suite bathrooms are very small. Restaurants, pubs and supermarket are in short walking distance. Would recommend this cottage for a group of friends.

Fabulous property.

We had an age range of 86-2 years with us, and the property was perfect for all. The en-suites meant all parties had their own bathroom and shower, which was great when travelling with different parties. Spotlessly clean and everything to a high standard. Off street parking was also great. Ideal location for city centre. It is one of my favourite holiday properties I have stayed at. Great host. Would definitely return!

Beautifully well appointed home, just one request- a washing machine would’ve been so handy.

Travelling for a week with family of 5 would’ve def been easier with a washing machine, but other than that, the house is 5 stars all the way! Fantastic location and so easy to walk out and about. Our meet and great upon arrival was also a lovely touch… Loved our visit thanks Maureen.

5 adults and 5 children. The house is very comfortable and it was a bonus having a private bathroom in each bedroom. All en suite except one which is opposite the family bathroom. It was lovely to be out in the cold weather and to return to a cosy home. The house is within walking distance to the town and close to all other amenities. We loved our holiday at this gem of a house.

Everything was as listed, and was absolutely perfect for our families. The owner was very helpful, responsive and accommodating. It was too cool to spend time outside, but the outdoor space would be perfect for a relaxing evening after a day of sightseeing. Would absolutely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay, it was very clean, spacious, and had everything you needed to have a wonderful holiday.

Maureen (the owner) thought of everything for a perfect stay. Just a short walk from the train station and a shop (spar) just over the road to the house was great. Maureen was lovely and even allowed us to pick fruit from her tree's in the garden, we will definitely be organising another stay.

We had the most wonderful visit to Inverness and staying at 16a Fairfield made it positively delightful!

Everyone in our group having their own ensuite was key in selecting the property, as well as the pics of inside and outside space. We were even more impressed upon arrival with the amazing equipment of the kitchen (glasses of every kind, spices, food storage containers, sharp knives!) and how close it was to everything (a market across the street and a large Tesco only 3 blocks away!). The owner was SO responsive and helpful. This place is a gem!!

A fabulous spacious property with every amenity you could want.

The owner is very friendly and communicative. Everything spotless and very comfortable beds too. Definitely recommended and well worth the expense. Really close to shopping, historic sites and lots of choice re eating out or take away food. Can’t recommend this property enough. 5 stars!

Our stay was perfect- the house is beautiful and so comfortable!

we were able to walk to restaurants and shopping-the dining room was perfect for planning the day, and playing cards in the evening while winding down from our busy day.

6 friends sharing and plenty of room and facilities provided for our stay. Having a separate dining area was great. Can't recommend it highly enough. (If I would make one very minor comment it would be to provide a washing up bowl to do a small amount of dishes rather than put the dishwasher on!) Maureen was extremely helpful and answered any questions we had. Would have given it a 10+ if I could

16a is perfectly located within a couple minutes of the city centre shops, restaurants, pubs and a great little shop across the street for the last minute item.

The home is exceptional, modern, comfortable, extremely clean and well maintained. Private off road parking is very nice.We were very pleased with the home, not a single complaint. The owner is very helpful with suggestions, available for questions if needed and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is ready. This is a true no worries property! This property is definitely on my return to list.

Our visit to Inverness was for work.

However, we spent a lovely time in the Ballinreich. The house is well equipped with all you might need as long you are away from home. The communication with Maureen was brilliant. She was waiting for our arrival and she showed us the house. The house is located close to the city center, only a 5-7 minutes walk distance, where plenty of restaurants and shops can be found. This spacious, comfortable house is perfect for large groups looking for a get away in Inverness, and is perfectly situated for those wanting to have a stroll into the centre of Inverness.

We were a group of three families who stayed here over Christmas. We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed every minute. Maureen was very helpful and on the couple of occasions we had to contact her, she responded immediately and resolved our queries - thank you Maureen.
