It's a very comfortable ome,the scenery is amazing,o need for the tv,just look out all the windows and nature is your entertainment.

If you need to relax, unwind and de stress fronthill will do the trick. Just a heads up, the rough,Rocky path to the house is a bit of a bone shaker, just take care.

Vern nice property at a great location.

Access up the track could be a little difficult in poor weather but we managed fine. If I had to find a negative, I would be struggling.

A lovely cottage, it had everything we needed.

Our dog loved running around the garden- there are wild rabbits in the adjoining field, so be aware of that if your dog might want to chase them. Ideally sited to walk into Newtonmore for bits and bobs, while being surrounded by the countryside. But note, the access road would be difficult for low profile cars.

A great location to explore the local area with good walking trails and a fantastic base to explore the Highlands further. Dog friendly with a secure enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Would love to visit again!

Lovely property, comfortable house, good walks directly from the house and it's good being dog friendly.

Only negative was there was no where to put/empty ashes from the fire.

I’m general it was a superb place to stay, we had a fantastic holiday.

Loved the cottage, very spacious and at home feel. Everything was great. Only point to add would be that the drive leading to to the property could Do with widening, don’t get me wrong I have an BMW x5 but it was tight. But don’t let this put you off. If I ever travel to Scotland again I would see if fronthill was available again. Great location, very quiet and cosy.

The house is in a lovely location with an enclosed garden.

It is clean and well looked after with all necessary facilities. It is on the edge of the village and has some lovely walks right on the doorstep.

Fronthill cottage in Newtonmore was beautiful the outlook from the cottage was amazing as the lounge an amazing views , the cottage itself was everything you were looking for , it was spotless and well maintained, I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a peaceful and relaxing holiday

The cottage was so much more than I expected.

The views were absolutely amazing and there were trails right from the doorstep. Our dog loved it too! Would definitely come back.

Fantastic property,amazing views and lovely walks in all directions.

Large spacious property,it was nice having the wood burner which we used on most evenings. The road up is a narrow bumpy path but had no problems.

The house was very comfortable with everything needed for a stay. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog and there are numerous walks on the doorstep

Lovely place to stay with a very well equipped kitchen.

Great for walks and attractions for kids/families. Short walk to the Glen Hotel who were very welcoming with excellent food! Would stay here again.

Our stay at Fronthill was lovely, the property had incredible views, very peaceful and was based in a perfect location for access to the Cairngorms and the west coast.

The village was delightful and the locals couldn’t have been more friendly. The only slight negative was that the property was not throughly clean. The beds were clean and whole property was tidy, however bedheads were dusty, windows were not clean and tufts of hair were found ion the carpet in two of the three bedrooms. This did not hinder our stay or desire to return.

Great house and gardens.

Superb views, and walking routes on doorstep. Farm road up to property was the only negative. Go very slow and aim a wheel for big stones. This was a minor irritation, superb holiday home.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and with the most spectacular views.

Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Great place for a week in the Cairngorms.

the views from the property are outstanding, we didn't find the road that difficult you just need to take it slow. Would recommend and hope to stay again one day

We've stayed at Fronthill a few times now, however the property has become a bit tired.

The bed needs replacing, mattress very soft and you sink into the centre. New placemats in kitchen needed as ones there very dated. The kitchen cupboard was dirty, had to give a wipe over and the kitchen door mat was missing in which we went and purchased our own otherwise you end up with a dirty kitchen floor. The sofas could also do with some cushions and the shower and screen needs updating. It's a shame as it's such a lovely property in a very nice location, it's just starting to look tired now, needs a bit of tlc.

We had a very enjoyable holiday.

The views were outstanding, plenty of walks close by and always a pleasure to come back to base. However, we did hold our breath every time we had to negotiate the track down to the main road. Definitely not very car friendly.

The property was lovely and in a gorgeous location, perfect for our needs and we were able to completely relax.

The facilities were brilliant and we had everything we needed for our week stay.

A brilliant and magnificent view from the house makes the trip worthwhile.

This is all about the outside rather than the inside. The house has lots of big views out onto the mountains.

The cottage was as good as it gets,clean,warm,well equipped and in the most beautiful setting.

After previously visiting fronthill knew what to expext, with shared track but is it not time to do something to improve it as it pretty harsh on cars and certainly worse since our last visit.

Appreciate with covid around unneccesary belongs had been put away but seen little evìdence of exta cleaning, maybe because its door handles etc. Bathroom extract fan found dusty , got us looking! Dust on fan heater , mould on loo window, dead insects in bay window area, dust behind tv etc, small things which didnt spoil our visit to your lovley cottage, warm and welcoming. thanks for wine and goodies. Our family has had the privilege of experiencing Fronthill 6 times now.

We just don't see the point in going anywhere else anymore! It's got everything we needed for a restful, energising, expansive, easy going, live like a local holiday. Cottage feels like an exclusive castle on the inside. The inside is so connected to the outside via massive, crystal clear windows that take in the breathtaking expanse of the Cairngorms. The view you could walk miles, days even, to just sit and experience the awe of that. It is priceless considering the comfort. The most expensive of hotels could never match the quality of Fronthill. My work has ment a few stop over nights during lock down and Fronthill is the cleanest, safest, considerate covid safe accommodation we've stayed in yet. I'll never be tired of this place, it's fresh and new every time. Kids, dog, granny, grumpy auntie, moody teenager, we were a family equally keen to come back when ever we can. Ps, there's lots to do in the area but we preferred to live from the doorstep. Cheeper too. Thanks so much Fronthill, you've healed us again.

House sits on its own higher up and has great views of the mountains all around.

The large lounge windows mean that you always have these views and you can easily access paths onto the moor road behind the house. Road up a bit rough and not good for cars that are low to the ground. Would recommend as you have a feeling of isolation yet are in Newtonmore.

This is a great place to stay.

This is our third year here. We have booked again for next year. The location is fantastic and the house does everything that you would want a holiday house to do.

It was a last minute holiday but it exceeded our expectation.

Cottage is clean and bright and airy. woodburning fire is lovely décor is very nice lovely view from cottage close to aviemore and all the local interesting places close to amenities such as petrol station, coop and local shops

Love this place, 2nd time back in last 6 months.

Views are stunning and cottage is very well equipped. If you like cooking, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils- this is normally a rarity in a holiday let. Walks from door step are awesome, can go for miles. Can't fault this place, could happily live there!! We will come back again. Thanks for a fab stay.

Just returned from a lovely week at an amazing property, with stunning views, especially when it snowed.

Well equipped kitchen. Photos do not actually do property any justice, it is a lot bigger than the photos suggest. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely return. Narrow dirt track road to property did not cause us any bother even in the snow, despite us driving in a large van. Neil Hamilton and Family.

What a brilliant holiday we had at Fronthill, the cottage, the views, the location it's everything we could have wanted.

This is an amazing place to staff.

The cottage is in such of superb location. The views are magnificent and there is lots to do around the area. Just sitting in the garden you can see so much of the local wildlife (golden eagles etc). The house itself is very comfortable, light and airy. It has all you could need in a holiday cottage. We have already had two holidays here and have booked our next Scottish holiday in this gem of a let.

This is a comfortable and well-appointed cottage in an idyllic location with superb views over to the hills.

Newtonmore makes an excellent centre for a walking and many other kinds of holiday.

Could not find any faults at all.

We booked last October and 3 days into the holiday I loved it so much I booked Fronthill for this April week and again this coming October.

That's how good it is. No point going anywhere else because Fronthill has it all. The million dollar view that changes constantly, wonderful walks from the door, the friendly down to earth locals, the highland folk museum, cafes, a small supermarket you can walk too so hardly used the car, the wild cat trail, the wind ,the sun, the sheep, the bubbling burns, mountains, hills, snow, rain then more snow then sunny again. The house is light, spacious, cosy warm, beds so comfy, facilities perfect. Great for kids especially. Toys and games kept us connected as a family with hardly any internet browsing because we were so busy. Now that's priceless. Cant thank the owners enough for sharing this very special gem.

Booking system was good.

Hot water didn't work but as we had a shower and a dishwasher not really an issue. Lovely cottage stunning views, stunning location with lots of Cairngormy stuff to do.

This is a great cottage in a fantastic location with views to die for out of every window!

It is a very well equipped cottage and a real home from home. The area is well placed to visit the Cairngorms national park with all of it’s villages and attractions and there are many great walks straight from the door and in the vicinity of Newtonmore.

Cottage excellent apart from windows needed cleaning and track to cottage not suitable for older cars.

We had the most fantastic time.

The house has all the comforts you would want and need in a home away from home. The views are stunning, the location was one of the best we have stopped at. The range of activities that you can do on your doorstep is brilliant. Our 3 children loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave.

This is a property actually designed for practical living whilst maximising the amazing location & views!

Excellent facilities, a better equipped kitchen than my own with great neighbours and a very helpful owner, especially when snowed in! I highly recommend!

Amazing cottage in a stunning location.

The garden was perfect for a dog as was fully enclosed. The views from the lounge were stunning! Less than 45 mins from Aviemore, Cairgorm, Dalwhinnie... What more could you want!

We were with five adults from the Netherlands having a great stay at Frontview Cottage, It is situated at a beautiful spot on walking distance to the village of Newtonmore.

Having cooked the most days by our selves the kitchen was provided with everything we needed. Suggestions for cottage improvement would be to replace the bathroom separated hot & cold water valve of the sink for a mixed hot/cold water valve. We have mist a separate toilet. We loved the opportunities for walks in the backcountry of Newtonmore and the advantage of the nearby train station. Thanks the owners for tip of The Letterbox restaurant, we had a lovely diner for a good price, surely recommended.

This cottage would certainly be our first choice if we stay in the area again.

This is a beautiful house, with lots of light and amazing views all around.

The facilities were excellent, and everything you could think of was provided. Very comfortable and homely. The only thing missing was a BBQ :)
