  • "Really enjoyed our stay and where it was situated, but downside was it wasn't suitable for going walks as no pavement and it was a slightly busy road."

    Everything was catered for and our host was excellent and made us a lovely big welcoming cake and brought in a vase of flowers. Great for touring to near by places. My only fault with it was the pillows were too flat and the sofa and chair was not comfortable for me.just needs tweaks here and there but lovely cottage, hope we can return again some time.

  • "Taffs Barn is absolutely lovely."

    It is in an idyllic spot, so the upstairs balcony for morning coffee is divine, as is the patio off the kitchen. The house was absolutely spotless and came with the biggest home made Victoria sponge cake I've ever seen! It is also an incredibly spacious place with two massive bathrooms to die for! And a well equipped kitchen to boot. For us in particular the real bonus was two double beds. We travel as sisters and so many places the second bedroom is twin beds, meaning one of us has to compromise (or sulk!) Taff's is great, two double beds, two bathrooms, no arguments. Plenty to do round and about - loved it!

The little village of Rosemarkie sits on the south coast of the Black Isle peninsula in Ross-shire, Northern Scotland. It nestles in a hollow in the hills, with a beautiful sandy beach in front, and is backed by red sand cliffs which loom over it.
