Fabulous cottage in fabulous location.

Our weather for the full week was spectacular. Everything you need is right on the doorstep, beach, parkland, shops, eateries, takeaway etc. The Nairn community is so friendly and well done Highland Council for keeping the town very clean, parks and beaches very clean. We didn't move all week other than my husband going fly fishing at nearby Geddes fishery. Our 2 English Pointers were very chilled and relaxed all week as were we. The neighbours were so nice so dont be put off by the shared access. There is a separate gate from the garden you can use if that makes you more comfortable. We didn't feel the need to use the garden gate. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another week in summer 2027

We will be back.

Seaview is a cosy, comfortable cottage, very well appointed and close to beautiful beaches.

We had a lovely stay there. Nairn is a lovely town, with many independent shops, including a fantastic wool shop and independent bookshop.

A really comfortable dog friendly property in a brilliant location and we've booked again for the corresponding week next year, that's how much we enjoyed it.

However, the radiators didn't work as well as they should (they probably need bled or completely flushed out) so it was a relief to have the electric heaters.

Accommodation was outstanding .

Location was perfect only sorry that we weren’t able to stay longer . Accommodation was very well equipped with everything you could possibly want and very comfortable . Been coming to the seaview now for three years and booked again for 2026 a great cottage in a great location for restaurants and a great sea view from the garden it has everything you need in this lovely cottage can't wait for next year.

What a wonderful cottage!

Quite apart from the location, which was second to none, the cottage was beautifully furnished and equipped, with lots of attractive decorative features. Highly recommended.

Very clean, Wi-Fi worked.

Loved the kitchen. Nice and quiet when we stayed. Loved the butcher that did Square sausage (maybe Lorne, maybe not) and loved the bakery that did Buttery's. Local Road access is great. There were roadworks at the time of our visit on the Westerly A96 approach, but nothing consequential. Our stand out excursions while we were there, are the Jacobite Loch Ness cruise, and road trip to Culloden. Great holiday, first rate.

Seaview cottage is in a fantastic location.

Our four legged friends could not wait to get out that side gate and get down to the beach. The cottage itself is so well equipped you couldn't ask for anything else. We were extremely happy and as this was a recommendation and would highly recommend to others. Will definitely revisit in the future. Maybe a slightly bigger TV for wet days in (minor detail). Thank you very much, happy dogs happy parents.

Great location. Everything you need indoors and close to all amenities. One of the best cottages.

Very comfortable cottage with great views.

We were lucky to get on road parking close to the entrance gate. Great spot for access to the beach, cafes/restaurants/shops in the town centre. There are a lot of good dog walking areas in and close to Nairn too. We hardly used the car all week.

Home from home that felt well loved.

Well equipped, comfortable, cosy and quiet. Location is a good base to explore the beauty of the Northern Highlands and Cairngorms. Great view across the Moray Firth to the Black Isle from the garden and bedroom window. Loved it!

A fantastic cottage set in a great location.

Well equipped and comfortable. Friendly neighbours with everything in easy reach locally. We did not want to go home and that includes our dog. So good that we have already booked for next year.

Absolutely brilliant time at Seaview Cottage.

The location is fantastic, straight out of back gate onto the links. Our spaniel was in her element. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and wanted for nothing. We had an issue with the smoke alarm which after a phone call to Sykes, the housekeeper and electrician came out and was fixed within an hour, very impressed. We would have liked nicer outdoor table and chairs but that they are out in all weather so do understand Great days out on Nairn beach and forest, Glenmore Forest Park, Corrieshalloc Gorge, Roseisle Beach and many more Would highly recommend

This was a little gem, its so cosy comfortable and so handy for beach, shops , restaurants.

I visit Nairn regularly and its the best cottage ive stayed in. Some small issues, toilet seat. Definitely needs addessed. Some little cleaning niggles, dishwasher trap was filthy, there was alot of cob webs, but i think thats just part of cottage. When stripping beds, the main bedroom duvet was pretty stained.. think could be replaced. Pillows were thin... past best... still loved cottage, and booked again.

This was our first, and hopefully not our last, visit to this lovely cottage.

We arrived the day before our wedding anniversary and were delighted with the bottle of bubbly on the table. Thank you! It was the perfect place for a cosy Christmas, providing a wonderful kitchen/dining area which was spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and beautifully decorated with Christmas tree and lights. The lounge was was perfect to relax in after bracing (often wet!) walks by the sea. The bedrooms were also comfortable and warm, the bedroom upstairs provided another cosy 'retreat' as well as a lovely view of the Links and the sea....... and snow on our first morning. There were so many lovely touches which gave the cottage an extra homely feel, including the beautiful patchwork quilts, the throws and the paintings. Sincere thanks to the owner and to those who clean and prepare the cottage for visitors' arrival. We would love to return! Just a couple of little maintenance items for attention: the bathroom sink tap needs a washer (it was dripping) and the lock on the bathroom door wasn't working. Neither of these affect our overall delight and appreciation of this wonderful cottage. We would also like to commend Sykes for the ease of booking and the on-going, relevant information.

Amazing cottage in a stunning location.

Spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. Great kitchen. Loved overlooking the bay and the fact we could be walking the dog on the beach within a minute!

The cottage was everything we wanted the location was great for days out or just having a lazy day even in November would go back but want to explore more of our great country

The only thing that did not agree with us was the smell from the mantle above the fireplace in the kitchen, we did leave a note for the housekeeper to make the owners aware of the smell of creosote from the wood used for the mantle & that this is a know carsonegen when used in doors.

Other than that we enjoyed our holiday, the cottage was well equipped, comfortable & in a great location.

The property was first class we have been Cumming to Nairn for 13 years and have booked this cottage again for 2024 1 would give this property 10 out of 10 all day long thanks again joe and janis.

A lovely and very comfortable character cottage.

It’s nicely situated 2 minutes from the beach and it has an enclosed sunny garden facing the sea. We had two wee poodles with us and it was ideal. Side gate from the garden gave us access out on to the links. We liked it so much we have already booked for next year. One or two wee things would make it even better- some trays to use for carrying out lunch to eat in the garden. Oh and some extra towels. Apart from that, perfection!

A charming cottage with many quality features.

A very pleasant garden area was fully enclosed and perfectly safe for our dog. As the name suggests, the cottage was adjacent to the large green and gave excellent views of the sea and beyond. An eclectic mix of utensils provided for all eventualities and the furnishings were comfortable for our enjoyable stay.

This cottage was above and beyond.

We loved it so beautifully and tastefully decorated and everything you needed. I could have stayed here forever. The beach was amazing for my morning runs and the dogs loved it too and also the vast green area just outside of the back gate. We will definitely be back. Best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Ps loved and appreciated the pictures and art work around the cottage.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Seaview.

It is in an ideal position, lovely views from the well maintained garden and the bedroom. The beach is about 3 minutes walk away, 2 seconds if you have a over zealous black lab with you. Town is 5-10 minutes walk, a very good Co-op just round the corner. Wonderful takeaways etc all deliver. Shower is lovely and a good size cubicle, kitchen is very roomy and well equipped. The living room is cosy and even better if you have the log burner going.It felt a bit strange having to walk through next doors garden to get to the front door but we used the side gate and parked the car there, which was easier and didn't disturb the neighbours. We had one small problem which we contacted Sykes about, they dealt with the problem quickly and we were then contacted by Ruth (owner) who sorted it out straightaway. So overall we loved it would love to return.

The cottage was lovely and had everything that you could want and the location was fantastic.

We really enjoyed our short stay. However we didn’t realise that the fun fair would be right next to us and we were a bit disappointed that our views were somewhat spoilt. This should be mentioned when people are booking during this time.

We had a wonderful break at Seaview cottage in Nairn, the service and updates from Sykes were fantastic.

Super cottage, well equipped, comfortable and clean and in a wonderful location with views across the Moray Firth from the lovely enclosed garden.

Our recommendation score is based on it’s location because Nairn is a lovely place And the cottage is primed in a lovely spot so you can see the sea from your bed.

You can walk on the beach for miles and there’s a lovely riverside walk which was a lucky find. Overall, Nairn is a clean a nice environment. The downside is that you have to walk through next doors garden (which is ok as they’re lovely neighbours) and it doesn’t have its own designated parking space as advertised but it wasn’t an issue as it was quiet and we could park in the road. The kitchen could do with a big decluttering of personal items and replacing worn and tired items. Unfortunately, the fridge freezer wasn’t working however there was a small replacement. Luckily we hadn’t preordered a lot of frozen items but it would have been good to have been prenotifed of this. The rear garden was lovely for the dog and for us to enjoy the exceptional weather Nairn had during our stay. Overall, a lovely cottage and we would stay here again!

So clean and cosy. Access directly out onto the grass then beach. Dog friendly and an absolute delight to stay in.

Next time must check re the one bathroom and no bath, but thats our fault.

Comfortable cottage with everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

A beautiful Holliday cottage very well furnished, situated in view of the sand dunes and sea.

What really made it for us was being able to sit on the deked area at the bottom of the enclosed garden and watch the world go by. We will hopefully be back next year.

This cottage is perfectly located and views are amazing.

Well equipped with everything we needed for a great break. Everything in the town is within easy walking distance. The Links/grass fields get very busy in holiday periods with many cars parking right around and near the cottage. Just a few niggles to mention: At the time of our holiday (June) there was no QR code to scan anywhere in the cottage. We looked everywhere! This was disappointing as I though this was a requirement of Sykes too? The sofa in the living room is incredibly is uncomfortable. Not sure why it needs to be a sofa bed instead or a proper settee. The rug in the living room is very worn and frayed and a tripping hazard and should be replaced. The shared access should definitely be mentioned on the description so you are aware but it did not cause us any issues. The ‘off road parking’ is very misleading and we ended up parking on the street. The off road parking is on the grass of The Links fields and it gets very busy with other cars during the day l, and you can easily get blocked in by inconsiderate visitors. All in all we would definitely return and stay again but the description needs to be changed to reflect the parking and access.

We have holidayed in Nairn on and off for 25 years including the caravan site and various cottages.

This cottage has the best location. Brilliant views over the links to the sea from the enclosed garden, the sitting room or the main bedroom. Out the garden gate you are right on the links. There is 2 pubs with beer gardens within 1 minute walk. The town centre is less than 5 minutes. Beware of leaving dogs unattended in the garden though. We put our dogs there while we unpacked the car and both jumped over the wall to come and find us. The cottage itself is a bit of a tardis. The kitchen dining area is suprising spacious. The kitchen facilities are excellent. The wifi is slow but sufficient for checking emails browsing etc. Minor niggles? No radio or TV in the main bedroom. The rug in the sitting room a bit tired and frayed. We found the two seater couch in the TV room uncomfortable. It looks like a fold down bed setee so comfort may be compromised because of that. No decent sized coffee mugs. If you like a big mug of coffee bring your own. Another review mentioned the shared access. This isn't an issue. The neighbours are welcoming. After I asked them about the bin day I found they had put the bin out for me. Overall - highly recommended. We would make it our first choice if we were booking a cottage in Nairn.

Lovely accommodation and great location.

Well equipped home from home, great for the dog too. Made good use of the binoculars to watch the dolphins. Was sad to leave and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this lovely house.

Location is outstanding - view across the Links and the sea is terrific.

Everything we wanted was within close proximity, dogs loved it and many other places to visit within a short drive.

Beautiful homely and comfortable cottage with great views of the Nairn beach and coast from the bedroom window.

Cosy log burner which we did use on the 2 rainy days during our holiday. Lovely enclosed and sheltered walled garden, very safe for the dogs. We just loved this cottage as our base and would definitely recommend it to others.

The house was in a great location for us for walking the dogs as well as close enough to walk to the shops.

The shower is in need of a small repair otherwise the house was perfect

The cottage has an ideal location for dolphin watching, water sports, beach and accessing the highlands.

My wife and I have stayed in quite a few cottages in Nairn and we would have to say this one has been by far the best.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seaview with its superb location by the sea and convenience to local shops and restaurants.

The cottage was very cosy and had everything that we needed. The only suggestion would be to have somewhere to hang wet jackets and to store walking boots after our walks along the beach with our dog.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location

This is a lovely comfortable and clean cottage with a great friendly feel about it.

It was great to get back and relax after a day sightseeing. The raised patio in the walled garden gives you amazing uninterrupted views of the links and the Moray Firth. There is a lovely hotel two minutes from the property which welcomes dogs in their spacious lounge bar. I would recommend the sticky toffee pudding! We will definitely be returning to this warm welcoming cottage.

2nd time so expectations were always going to be met .

2 mins from Nairn central beach, 2 mins from the bandstand bar and restaurant and 5 mins from town center. has all the amenities you need and great views from the upstairs bedroom. fully enclosed rear garden which is great for its dogs and must be a Sun trap in the spring/summer. highly recommend this cottage

This was not a holiday, we stayed at Seaview Cottage in December 2018 and loved it, so when we sold our house in Manchester and was moving to a rental property in Inverness that was not quite ready, rather than stay in a hotel fro 2 weeks , seeing that Seaview cottage was free we re-booked it.

It is in a fabulous location, the views are amazing, the house is all that you can wish for and the neighbours are lovely. Fantastic pubs, walks and all amenities, we cannot recommend it enough

Our cottage in Nairn was great!

The house was very comfortable and had all that we required. The position, on the links, allowed us to run our dogs straight down to the beach.

We could have moved in Seaview is in a lovely cottage in a good location .

Seaview is a delightful cottage only a few metres from the beach.

It is fitted & finished to a very high standard. Not wanting to be too picky but there are just a couple of queries: * we put the dustbin out on the designated day but it wasn’t emptied?? * we used the side garden gate as our access point but didn’t find the key until part way through the week. The shared access was not highlighted on the listing * it would have be nice to have a few more hand & bath towels. We would highly recommend the cottage and if we travel that fa4 north again, it would be a delightful place to stay.

Where the cottage is situated is fabulous and amazing views.

Fabulous location, the cottage was ideal for us especially as I could take my dog.

It was reasonably priced and had everything in the cottage we needed. My interaction with Sykes was easy with no hassles at all.

Such a well equiped cottage though.

We were so impressed & we had a lovely stay. The key safe is not very reliable. We were unable to open it upon leaving in order to leave the key. Didn't find the BBQ sadly! ************** Owner Response******************* Thank you very much for your feedback. Previously no one has raised the issue with the key safe however I have had it checked again to ensure there are no further issues. Location and view amazing.

A few minutes walk took us to a fantastic beach. Excellent position for access to Nairn and surrounding area.

Great cottage in a superb location.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage, very comfortable and so close to the beach, perfect for our dog.

Photos didn't do the cottage justice - is was much prettier than I expected.

Had lots of annoying phone calls and e-mails from Sykes staff - still don't know why they needed to contact us. Mobile reception was bad and I hadn't intended to check my e-mail (it was a holiday). I was left worrying that there might be a problem. Sykes staff should know that lots of remote/ northern places are don't have good mobile and internet reception.
