Tirlaggan Úr (meaning ‘New’ in Scots Gaelic) is a lovely, quaint little holiday home resting on the Isle of Lismore, near Oban in Argyll and Bute.

Hosting a helpful single-storey layout and being both child- and pet-friendly, this property is perfect for friends and families, featuring flexible zip/link bedrooms, a woodburning stove and private decking for time spent together.

Step inside and be welcomed into the living space that seamlessly blends the kitchen, dining area, and sitting areas all into one area to maximise your convenience.

Boasting a woodburning stove, a TV and a dining area this space really is the heart of the home and gives you the chance to whip up delicious meals before planning your next adventures.

Next to this room is a handy utility that houses a washing machine, perfect for longer stays.

When the sun is shining, take to the outdoors in your own private spot of decking which is a great spot for al fresco dining in the summer months.

When the sun sets on your day, there is a king and twin room waiting for you, both are zip/link so they can accommodate any changes.

In the morning, guests can freshen up in the slick shower room with a steamy rinse.

Once you're settled in, head out and explore the local attractions and points of interest on the island with Castle Coeffin being a tremendous coastal spot for a slice of the island's history as well as gorgeous views.

While on your travels, be sure to stop in at Isle of Lismore Cafe for a tasty snack coupled with a nice hot drink.

Continue your taste of island life at the Sailean Project, combining locally reared produce with a regenerative approach to farming; choose from Lismore grass-fed Highland beef, shearling lamb or pasture-raised chicken to cook for dinner back at Tirlaggan Úr. There are many other historical sites up and down the island that may pique your interest, while Lismore's limestone-rich landscape brings a particularly green character to the surrounding scenery.

Pack your swimming gear for a dip in the island's waters, or spend your adventures looking out for the wildlife that calls Lismore and its surrounding waters home, including sea eagles, golden eagles, otters, seals, dolphins and porpoises.

With both passenger and vehicle ferry services connecting Lismore with the mainland, you can also head to the town of Oban, which has plenty of shops and restaurants to explore.

McCaig's Tower & Battery Hill and Oban War & Peace Museum are two places that will pique any history enthusiast's interest.

Sporty guests will appreciate Glencruitten Golf Club near Oban and its wildlife-rich course.

With all of this on offer and so much more, make sure you choose Tirlaggan Ùr for your stay on the Scottish Isles.

Another lovely relaxing holiday on this amazing island.

Despite the weather being unseasonally wet & chilly the house stays warm needing minimal heating and the ever changing panoramic views of the mountains were enjoyed from behind glass!

Great place to relax and just savour the surroundings.

Saying hello to the sheep each morning was a change from seeing traffic jams
