"A lovely, clean, open and spacious property with spectacular views over Loch Shieldaig."

"Brilliant location with gorgeous views."
Comfortable and spacious cottage. Could do with a deep clean in the bathrooms. No welcome pack provided which is worth knowing given there are very few shops around.

"We love this place."
It was our 3rd visit (we've already booked next year).
It's ideally situated for exploring Torridon, Gairloch and Skye.
The open plan lounge/diner/Kitchen and the views out to sea help you relax and watch the world go by.
If you're taking work with you, be prepared for the very slow WiFi. That really is the only downside oh and if the owners could put some tall glasses in the cupboard it'd be better than drinking beer out of a can.
Counting down the months till next time...
Thanks for the great feedback. I’ll get some pint glasses for your next visit! I’m hoping to improve the speed of the WiFi over the next few months. Thanks for re-booking.

"On arrival we were surprised to find that not all beds were made."
We booked for a party of 4 adults and one dog. We had to search for bed linen and make up a single bed. After a very long journey this did not help us settle quickly. The kitchen is lacking attention to detail. Only two very thin tea towels to dry cups etc which for a week was not sufficient. I think some of the profit can be invested in a new toaster which has been well used. The hoover really smelt awful as it had not been emptied for a while and needs replacing. Only 3 table mats available for 6 people. All in all if this property were not in the location it is we would have been disappointed. This could so easily be 5 star rated if the owners added a little finesse to the accommodation that matched the surroundings. We have visited the area a lot and our friends (who are from Scotland) are frequent visitors to the area where we have enjoyed better facilities.
However this said we had a wonderful week especially with the weather the way it was and spending time with our long standing friends.
Apologies that not all beds were made up. This should not have been the case and I will follow this up with my housekeeper.
Thanks for the feedback concerning some kitchen items.

"A lovely property in a beautiful village."
Stunning views to Shieldaig island and we were lucky enough to see some amazing sunsets. Lots of wildlife to admire - seals, porpoises, dolphins, sea eagles etc. The house was well equipped although as we were there for 2 weeks, a second set of sheets would have been appreciated.
Would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a more peaceful holiday in a stunning part of Scotland
Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Apologise that the sheets weren’t changed, normally this would happen but my housekeeper must have missed the fact that it was a 2 week booking.

"Generally the property was great but some areas had never seen a duster including the top of the beds, skirtings and top of the fridge."
However by far the worst issue was the back garden. It was completely unusable due to being covered in dog poo. As we had a toddler this was a serious health issue. Very disappointing.
After looking into this the animal waste referred to was actually from sheep that had managed to enter the garden due to a broken fence panel which has since been repaired. The previous guests did their best to keep the sheep out of the garden. Unfortunately when going to a rural area things like this can happen.
Feedback regarding the dust in specific areas has been passed onto the housekeeper.

"The location and views are beautiful."
The only negative is the back bedroom is dated and cold and also the bathroom needs updated
Thank you for your booking and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. The back bedroom has a plug in heater in order to help warm the room in the colder periods of the year. This room has been redecorated and had a new carpet and curtains fitted this year. I’m sorry you felt it was outdated.

"The views were spectacular as we saw sea eagles for the first time."
Unfortunately, we didn’t experience a single sunset in our weeks stay because the weather didn’t oblige. The cottage was warm and comfortable other than a saggy mattress on one of the single beds in the twin room. The cottage was well equipped with a particularly good range of books on the area and walking. The internet was intermittent and perhaps this should be mentioned in the property information.
All beds have now got new mattresses and the Wi-Fi issues have been resolved.

"A beautiful, spacious and very comfortable home from home in the little village of Shieldaig."
There is a great library of highland guides, walks and maps to help plan some days out. The view is breathtaking especially at Sunset as the sun appears to drop behind the headland across the loch. Handy five minute walk to the bar and restaurant down the street.

"Excellent place if pricey but so is everywhere these days."
Only hitch was we were meant to get in at 4pm.We arrived at 6pm and the poor person doing changeover was in a panic as she had not long got there having been let down by a helper. We left for 45 mins ,returned ,eager to put our bags ,have a cup of tea ,etc after hours of driving.
The helper left and we went in and finished off the changeover as there was clean linen and equipment readily available.
We were delighted to meet the person and would gladly have let her stay on to finish with us also setting up.This is NOT a criticism ,we would love to return there one day.WE just want to say if hitches happen with changeover, best to inform and work with or around the clients. It would be a good idea to give the changeover person a mobile number of the guests to inform of any problems. Sharing and caring, matters more than exclusivity in the Highlands!

“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage, with the most amazing views."
It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. A beautiful spot in the Highlands and great for kayaking/paddle boarding from virtually outside the front door. Wildlife spotting fantastic too!”
We did want to mention too that we were so impressed by the property, that we sought to book up again for next year. We were hugely disappointed to discover an approx £300 increase in price and aren’t in a position to commit to this currently…

"What an amazing week we spent at Tigh en Leigh at the end of June."
The house was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and so peaceful. We had a week of glorious weather and no midges! We were out and about every day but it was always a pleasure to return to the house and just spend the evenings relaxing watching the ever changing views. It was sad to leave but we look forward to returning soon. Thank you to the staff at LHH for your efficient customer service, the cleaner for making sure the house was spotless for our arrival and the owners for allowing us to share their holiday home.

"Just spent two weeks in this fabulous property which is in a fabulous location."
The lounge has stunning views: we could view sea eagles, seals, otters and unbelievable sun sets. The accommodation is of a high standard and provides excellent access to great Munro walking in Torridon, sea kayaking and numerous outstanding biking routes. Two of our party actually biked to the summit of Bealach na Ba!!!
