10 Customer Reviews

  • "Excellent location."

Easy to find. Plenty to do on island. Nine of us stayed in comfort and self-catering easy using supermarket in Stornoway. Easy to install Netflix and great selection of books!

  • "The house is really nice and everything went very well."

The owner was always ready to answer to our few queries. We were a group of 8 adults: although there were sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms, two of the twin rooms were more adapted to children than to adults. There are plenty of TV screens everywhere... we could not operate he cinema, maybe our fault: 5 remote controls defied our skills. In any case, this place is highly recommendable, we had a wonderful stay

  • "Lovely cottage."

Great views and facilities. Underfloor heating was just a bit too warm for most of our group and the only way to reduce the temperature was to open windows. However this didn't work if it was windy (the house is quite exposed to wind) as the windows blew shut and we worried about them breaking.

  • "A wonderful house in a fantastic location with superb views."

The property is very well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Communication with the owners was easy and they provided helpful advice on local sights, restaurants etc.. One of the best holiday rentals we've stayed in. Highly recommended.

  • "We loved our stay at Clach Gorm and would be delighted to come back."

Everything was beautiful. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the area is perfect for a remote and restful stay. We walked to the sea daily and enjoyed the views and the cozy space. The kitchen is perfect for cooking for a large group (we were 7) and we received helpful feedback on where to find the best groceries, etc. (We did run out of toilet paper and trash bags, so would advise purchasing extra of these if you are a large group!)

Clach Gorm was a beautiful house which we all had a great new years break in, to the point where we didn’t want to leave

  • "The property was very well kept and very well equipped which was perfect for a week away with families."

The Sykes holiday website is not very straightforward to request extra things from or contact but the contact with the house owners was first rate and they were incredibly helpful.
