"Taigh Gorm is such a special place me and my brother were just overwhelmed with peace and beauty of the area, its a bird watchers paradise with plenty of places to walk especially when the tide goes out."
Just bring your own food and the blue house has it all .

"Such a lovely cottage in a very peaceful part of The Uists."
It was ideally based for us to explore the islands from Berneray down to Eriskay. The cottage had everything we needed for the week, it was really comfortable & spacious with a lovely outdoor space. After a days exploring it was lovely to return to the cottage, relax & take in the views.

"Excellent cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay."
Warm and cosy when the weather is not as clement as it could be. We enjoyed the views across Baleshare and the regular wildlife sightings from the sitting room. Taigh Gorm is in a great position to explore the islands and we looked forward to coming back everyday and seeing it raised up on its grassy knoll. We hope to be back.
Thank you Debbie for your comments and trust you had a lovely time in the Uists. It would be lovely to welcome you back in the future.

"Taigh Gorm is a fabulous holiday home."
The owners, have ensured that there is everything you need while on holiday & everything in the house is excellent quality.
We loved the location, seemingly remote but perfect for visiting North & South Uist.
One of the very best holiday properties we have ever stayed.
Thank you so much for your comments, our aim is to ensure that Taigh Gorm is more like a home from home experience rather than a self catering accommodation.

The only problem we find is that we don't know which window to look out of, but it is a problem worth having
Thank you for your lovely comments and we are delighted that you have chosen to book Taigh Gorm once again, it’s much appreciated!

"Really enjoyed our stay at Taigh Gorm."
The house is cosy and sits on a slightly elevated position that gives views all around. The bird life around the house is really varied and we listened to corncrake and snipe regularly. We would be happy to rebook if returning to North Uist.
Thank you and we are so pleased that you enjoyed the island’s bird life, as you say very varied!

"Absolutely fantastic and immaculate cottage in a fabulous location."
Felt just like a home with some lovely touches that even included a pair of binoculars. The beach was a 20min stroll (or 2 mins in the car, with parking) and had miles of flat sand at low tide. Great base for exploring other places on the islands too.

"Taiga Gorm felt like home from home."
The thought that had gone into the furnishings and personal touches, made this property even more special than it already was, due to the stunning location and general equipment/furniture. I've stayed in a number of properties and this had to the best by far.
Thank you Julie for such extremely positive feedback following your stay at Taigh Gorm. We really value your personal observations which helps us strive to maintain a high standard for our guests.

"This utterly lovely cottage surpassed all our expectations."
Charmingly decorated without being cluttered, and every last detail had been thought of. We had a wonderful stay.
For the wildlife enthusiast (as we were) Baleshare was also wonderful, as was all of North Uist. We hope to visit the Outer Hebrides again, with Taigh Gorm at the top of our list. We can not recommend this property highly enough.

"The bird song was amazing, what a view."
A truly peaceful retreat. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Well maintained and in a great location. Uist and the other islands are an amazing place to visit, so easy to get around with well stocked shops especially the seafood shop at Kallin. Beautiful beaches and scenery - got to be one of the best kept secrets of the UK.

"We had a week of fairly wild weather and Taigh Gorm felt like such a haven from the elements."
It was so well appointed (even better than the pictures) and well equipped. Baleshare is a beautiful island and Taigh Gorm is perfectly located to explore the outer Hebrides. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the house to others. Thanks for a wonderful stay

"I travel in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland extensively and when I book late year holidays (November) I choose properties that I fondly refer to as "Plan B" By this I mean if the weather is lousy then I can always pack a few books to read in luxury accommodation."
Unfortunately, the weather WAS lousy and Taigh Gorm WAS a haven and oasis of luxury!
However, I managed to get one day of walking in, and what a day. Glorious sunshine, no wind and just wearing a fleece, I hiked up Rueval for the most spectacular walk I have ever had in the Highlands & Islands in 5 years. I will e-mail you photos after submitting this feedback!

"We spent three unforgettable weeks in this cozy and well furnished cottage on the beautiful island of Uist."
The cottage is ideal for discovering the whole island from Berneray to Eriskay. Every day we were happy to come back to our little blue house. In addition to the wonderful view from every window, we were able to observe numerous birds and rabbits. We were also happy about the calves and the lovely little lamb in the neighboring field. The beautiful and interesting hikes through moorland and the countless dream beaches make Uist one of our favorite places. We will definitely come back!
