The property was easy to find on the Island.

Comfortable and spacious the internet was sporadic. The photograph shows a cake, and wine on the table giving the impression of a traditional island welcome pack but no welcome pack on arrival. We had been staying at various cottages on the island for 8 years and always received a luxurious welcome pack hence the expectation from the photograph. Unfortunately the ferry was cancelled on the day we were due to depart, luckily for us the people who were due to arrive were stuck on the mainland. As they were unable to stay the owner let us stay in their place that night for an additional £100 which we paid directly to the owner.

We loved our 3 night stay at Ceannard Cottage.

Mary was a very welcoming host and met us on arrival. The beds were really comfy and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Watching the cows from the big living room window was a highlight! A great base for exploring South Uist.

We loved our week at Ceannard Cottage.

Mary and her daughter were friendly and helpful. The cottage was cosy with everything we could possibly need! The coffee machine was a real treat. The bed was also super comfy. We found the cottage a perfect location for exploring the Uists, and would love to return in the future.
