Description
Daisy Mount is a stunning retreat resting in Old Field near Oakworth and Haworth, West Yorkshire, the home of Emily Bronte and is surrounded by sweeping rural moorland views and set within the atmospheric landscape that inspired her book and film Wuthering Heights.
Tucked away in an isolated position, and with its own 100m driveway, this inviting, fully rebuilt and modernised home offers a sense of escape and comfort, where open fields stretch beyond the windows, and the moors create a dramatic backdrop to your stay.
Step inside to discover an open-plan living space designed for gathering, where the warmth of a woodburning stove fills the room as meals sizzle in the kitchen and conversations flow around the dining table or watch TV whilst enjoying everything about a kitchen and dining area with 180 degree views.
The sitting room or snug, complete with a second woodburning stove, chairs and sofa bed, provides a peaceful corner for reading, playing games, watching TV, or working from the desk and chair.
Upstairs, four beautifully arranged bedrooms await, including two king-size rooms and two twins, with two of the bedrooms benefiting from en-suite facilities.
A freestanding bath offers a luxurious spot to unwind after days spent exploring the moors, while 3 additional shower rooms ensure convenience.
Each has full bathroom facilities.
WiFi is provided throughout the house.
The water is direct from the owners bore hole and fresh.
The enclosed garden invites you to step outside with a morning coffee, sit on the patio protected by a dry stone wall, breathe in the fresh moorland air, and admire the uninterrupted views of moorland, unsighted from roads, that make this location so special.
Four miles away from Daisy Mount is the village of Haworth, made famous as the home to the Brontë sisters.
The village where cobbled streets, independent shops, and the Brontë Parsonage Museum bring literary history to life.

Daisy Mount stands majestic in the hills and moors close to Haworth.
.. and you just have to say Wow every time you see it! It is in a lovely spot for stargazing and a bit of astrophotography towards the moors. Also great place to pop to Haworth for a visit to the Bronte Parsonage and cafes (recommend booking if going in for evening meals). The Grouse down the road, and the Wuthering Heights are also great pubs for food. You can see Top Withens from the garden, and walk to it from the door. We also visited Pendle Hill (and the witches) for a stunning walk and views. The House itself has all the the usual mod cons and definitely appears brilliant for a younger crowd of people, who can lie all over low chairs and do their own thing with their phones etc. We stayed a week and (representing the 55 year+ age group) struggled with the low flat sofas and chairs available around the TV's for any length of time.(the pictures are accurate!), The snug could be such a lovely social space to enjoy a good movie together, if only it had some comfy sofas, such as the one by the dining table. There was also no wardrobe space or rails in any of the bedrooms, we ended up hanging all our clothes on door frames and banisters. That aside, I would still recommend Daisy Mount because as they say,... Location, Location, Location!!!.
Daisy Mount sits proud on the moors and provided a perfect place to relax and celebrate a birthday.
The views provided were unbeatable, as was the wildlife that we saw on a daily basis. The property was immaculate, well stocked and clean and any communication was timely. Easy to get to local pub (not really walkable too as over half a mile away on a narrow road). Haworth, Ilkley and Keighley were all visited. We'd highly recommend Daisy Mount.
An excellent property set in a wonderful location, spectacular views over the valley towards Top Withens.
A lovely welcome pack was there to make use of on our arrival. The garden had regular visits by Roe Deer, Pheasants and Curlew. Definitely one for a return visit.
