What an amazing cottage.

A brilliant location on a hill overlooking Holmfirth with a great view of the moors from the bedroom window. A 2 minute walk from the garden centre which has a great café (wonderful for a lazy breakfast!). Comfortable. modern accommodation containing everything that you'll need. Great bathroom and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Quirky and individual in a brilliant way. Completely perfect for us!

Lovely location and nice and quiet.

10 minute walk to local shop and pub. Great walks for the dog in the morning before going out for the day. 2 local garden centres within walking distance. Enclosed front grassed garden for the dog to play in safely. Parking at the rear in front of the garage.

Underview is a well kept and well furnished holiday let.

Very clean and fresh on arrival. Really good location with good walks nearby for our 4 legged companion. Easy to walk into Holmfirth and bus stop opposite the Boot and Shoe if travelling further afield. Nearby pub and shop handy and very welcoming. Already booked for another short break next year.

Lovely cottage, in a very quiet area on the edges of holmfirth.

Exceptionally well maintained and kitted out. Beautifully decorated, easy parking. Highly recommend. Owners are very helpful and quick to respond. A short 5/10 minute drive downhill to the main facilities and shops.

Beautiful stylish apartment.

. Well fitted kitchen, spacious, comfortable bedroom, a luxurious modern bathroom with Victorian feel. (fabulous shower!) 2 minutes walk to a lovely little garden centre, with a delightful doggy friendly cafe serving breakfasts, lunches, and larger home cooked meals.. With stunning views across the valley.. A few more minutes walk to another garden centre, ask for leaflets showing great walks around the village and beyond.. The cafe there overlooks ponds with a quaint little bridge.. With all manner of birds to watch.. Including the cutest whistling ducks.. Also some wallabies nearby if you fancy a look... 15 minutes walk to a really good local, village pub, with outdoor seating but indoors, and out doggy friendly too... Oh and Holmfirth, has THE best nightlife EVER!!! Do have a night or two out in the town.. You will not be dissapointed.. During the day some great independant shops. Like high streets used to be.. Holmfirth still has it! We only wish we'd stayed in this cottage for our main 2 week holiday, and not just for a weekend... But, we'll be coming again.. No worries... x

Accommodation in spotless condition large rooms with all modern facilities in a good position just outside Holmfirth which gives you easy access avoiding traffic with free parking after 4pm.

You are surrounded by beautiful countryside short walk to co-op, garden centres and pub. Our dog loved sitting safely in garden, easy parking front and back friendly locals. If you need landlord speak direct and sort any concerns immediately. We have had good experiences with Sykes & would recommend Underview.

This is a lovely property, very well equipped and very comfortable.

Beautiful William Morris themed decor is fabulous.

Local views and dog walk nearby fabulous. Comfy bed and great shower. Prosecco found in a contraption to cool things but as there wasn’t any instructions or guest book I assumed it was for me? Then I discovered the one thing that ruined my short stay … the fridge & freezer compartment didn’t work and my frozen food went off!! My dog has raw food so that too was ruined! There was a mini fridge on the floor in the lounge (unplugged) so I used that but that froze my newly purchased salad stuff! Fuming or what?! This issue has been raised by previous people so why hasn’t it been sorted? This cottage sadly is style over substance, in my opinion for that reason. The garden at the front is next to a nosey neighbour who opened the window and shouted at her cat every time we (myself & the dog) went outside. Not very relaxing. The final straw was on the day of departure when the cleaner arrived at 0810 and was banging around next door and then she dumped her large cleaning bag over the gate in our cottage garden. I went out and she said she thought we had left! WTF! I have a large Ford Raptor truck which was parked outside, so hardly invisible! We left at 0940 BTW and certainly won’t be going back.

Clean, well presented and equipped.

Lack of information/instructions. Side gate doesn't shut properly meaning the dog wandered out of the garden. Improvements for the future some bath sheets and a better sofa. Main complaint was the fridge not working, a small counter top electric cool box was provided and a small fridge on the floor which we had to move in to the lounge to plug it in, it got much too cold freezing some of the contents. There was no note explaining this, then after 4 days while having breakfast and engineer turned up without any notice. I feel some communication would have been helpful. I would still recommend to others as the main problem was just one of those things, but knowing before would have helped.

Beautifully decorated and well appointed wee flat.

From the comfy bed and fluffy towels to the well appointed kitchen, it has everything you need and more to enjoy your stay. Lovely area and responsive hosts too. We’ve stayed in both Underview (this property) and Moorview - both are fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you want to explore this area of Yorkshire.
