Eriskay Views Cottage

We had a lovely stay at Eriskay Views.

We really enjoyed the views out to sea from the lounge. The house was very well equipped and comfortable despite some wild weather at times. We found the owner very supportive when our ferry home was delayed.

Very clean and all the facilities you would need for comfortable stay .

The location is superb.

The house has everything for your stay. The accommodation is very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.

Eriskay Views Cottage has the best possible location in this group of islands, in our opinion.

The view is stunning and proximity to the beach excellent. The lovely walk from the cottage to the Politician pub is fabulous. The cottage is warm and cosy and well equipped. Books and local info are provided, which is great. The only thing lacking for me was a top sheet on the bed as duvets can be too heavy for summer. It was difficult to regulate the temperature of the fridge and some food was spoiled but this wasn't a big deal. Great overall.

This was an excellent cottage.

Fully equipped with absolutely everything you will need for your stay including cafetière, hair dryer, plenty tea towels, dish wash tabs & cleaning products. It’s probably the best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed in. Also spotlessly clean. We could not fault it. AND THAT VIEW. Wow! We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for everything.

An unforgettable location!

With spectacular sunsets! If you are lucky to get the right weather, the colours are dreamy. A very welcoming house with a wonderfully organised kitchen, very good facilities and private parking. The house is overlooking on its long side the Prince Charles Bay, one of the best beaches on the islands. It feels as if it comes with its own beach. It is very convenient for the Barra ferry and the fast boat to StKilda. Eriskay is very cute. It is worth it to climb the hill and watch the whole of the island becoming gold at the sunset. We would happily go back.

Hot water not available on arrival, only one bedroom was heatable , dishwaher did not function .

No 'Welcome pack' on arrival , something nearly all rentals offer these days. The suppled telephone number is not valid .

The two single beds were very lumpy and we couldn’t use the main shower because of sewage.

We arrived late on a wild night after a long journey to a cold dark house which wasn’t very welcoming, all heating had been turned off. Not the standard we were expecting for a LHH property and the price we paid. The contact number given to call didn’t work so we could only call LLH who did nothing and then when we got home we called again. This time they said they couldn’t help because we didn’t prove it while we were there. I’m still waiting on LHH answering why they aren’t responsible for the wrong telephone number being given in all our correspondence. If we’d been able to call a local person we could have proved it. Their staff member we spoke to while we were there never mentioned this either. They have now closed the case without answering our question and haven’t responded to our last request for an answer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Eriskay Views.

Apart from the obvious attractions of the setting, location and scenery, the property was perfect for our stay. Comfortable, practical, clean and cosy it ticked all the boxes. We have stayed at several Sykes properties in the last couple of years and this was certainly the best yet. We booked it to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we could not be happier with the whole package.

Idyllic location.

The views are sublime; from sunsets to seascapes… the ever changing colours are second to none. The house was spotless, well equipped and had everything we needed for a wonderful visit to this beautiful part of the world.

Splendid location ( couldn’t be better.

Just 300 steps from the front door and you will be waist deep in the clearest cleanest water you could ever wish for, on a white sand beach that dazzles when the sunshine’s The house was comfortable, clean and very well equipped

Eriskay Views is a beautiful house perched on a hillside, next to the Barra Ferry harbour and overlooking the beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie is reputed to have landed.

The house is very cosy and comfortable and a baby black rabbit was a frequent visitor during our stay. We would certainly visit again.

The house itself is absolutely lovely.

Very large. Very comfortable. Very clean. We had everything we needed. The views are out of this world. The location incredible. I honestly didn't want to leave. Eriskay is a magical place and the house is in the perfect location to really experience the island. We had a wonderful holiday. Thanks so much.

Stunning location with more or less your own private beach!

. Our daughter loved swimming in the sea and coming back to the cottage for a shower. The Cottage is very well equipped and beautifully presented and the views out over the sea are breath-taking. We met the owners who were delightful and very helpful with lots of useful local information.
