A sympathetically restored and extended Cotswold stone cottage to high specifications with off road parking, a lawned garden and an integrated flexible living space.

Step in and you’ll find everything arranged for easy, sociable holiday living from the kitchen dining area overlooking the garden with bifold doors to the outside patio and to the seating in the main living room around the woodburner.

All ready to enjoy long and slow breakfasts and suppers cooked on all the latest appliances and eaten inside at the extending dining table or outside on the patio or near to the summerhouse if the BBQ is used.

In the evenings drinks can be enjoyed outside in the different seating areas or inside in the main seating area enjoying the flickering flames of the woodburner or by the high stooled seating around the bar area.

With the TV or the two different music systems providing entertainment of your choice.

When it's time to call it a night, upstairs there are two bedrooms – a double and a single – and downstairs the leather sofa turns into a double bed with heavy lined curtaining that makes the area private.

The bathroom upstairs has a shower and the downstairs wet room with a walk in shower has a wide doorway enabling those requiring disabled access.

With a travel cot available and a retractable stair gate this makes the cottage an ideal location for a multigenerational family or a small group gathering.

Outside, the garden with its planted flower beds and different seating areas provides a relaxing environment to enjoy and soak up the peacefulness of the area.

You don’t need to travel far for the essentials with a well stocked village shop just a short walk through the village hall car park and the White Hart pub nearby.

There are two playgrounds for children within walking distance.

The Cottage sits in the thriving village of Ashton Keynes with the river Thames running through its heart and the Cotswold lakes nearby offering lakeside walks, wildlife, watersports, fishing and a variety of coffee and eating options.

The village enables days out to Cotswold villages including Burford, Bibury and Bourton on the Water with numerous highly rated gastro pubs and other eateries as well as a whole host of national trust properties to be visited.

The Roman museum can be explored in Cirencester as well as the Roman village remains at Chedworth and, Stonehenge is only just over an hour away.

Whatever your plans, the cottage makes a fabulous hub for a memorable time well spent together.

Cirencester 8 miles; Swindon 15 miles.

Located in north Wiltshire bordering Gloucestershire, Ashton Keynes is positioned on the banks of the River Thames. Lying within the Cotswold Water Park and split by the River Thames, which has many channels here, centred 6.5 miles from its source at Thames Head. Within the village of Ashton Keynes there is a pub named the White Hart Inn, as well as a village shop. Formerly known as Aesctun in 800 AD, Ashton Keynes appeared in the Domesday Book, with ten variants of the name being recorded over the past 800 years. A short drive takes you to the Saxon town of Cricklade, lying just outside the Cotswolds ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Cricklade is surrounded by lovely countryside and is ideal for walking, riding and cycling.
