A beautiful setting. Well maintained and quiet holiday park. The accommodation was great. Everything you could need and so clean too. Will definitely be returning again as there’s so much more to explore.

  • "We have stayed at this site several times before, although there is some building work going on at the present time this in no way interfered with our stay and it is a great base for exploring the area and also provides activities during the day should you wish to join in (ask at reception)."

This was our first time staying in this property, we are not pet owners so we were a little nervous in case of any lingering pet smells etc. - we needn't have been concerned as the property was immaculate, exceptionally clean and very well presented. We had a great weeks stay and look forward to booking this property again in the future. Highly Recommended !

Hello Ian, thank you so much for your fantastic review which is much appreciated. We clean the property ourselves and so it is great that our hard work is appreciated by guests. It is so nice to know that you have stayed at Green Hill before, and the fact that you chose to stay with us this time is great. You are of course welcome back to 7 Wild Haven any time...we look forward to receiving your next booking . Kind regards, Alan and Michelle Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely relaxing break here."

Very well situated for the forest, comfortable, spacious and spotless lodge. There is some construction going on on the site, but we were not bothered or disturbed by this. Dog enjoyed the dog field, not so much the dog wash! but great facility to have to wash your muddy dog down before going back to your accommodation.

Hello Imogen, Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and that you made full use of the facilities for our four legged friends too. Bet your dog was glad to be back in the warmth of the lodge after their wash down! The park staff really do try to keep disruption to a minimum whilst making changes...they are a great bunch of people and just want everyone to enjoy their time at the park. You are welcome back to 7 Wild Haven any time. Kind regards, Alan and Michelle Property Owner

  • "Personally in a dog friendly English countryside location I would not have carpet in the lounge ."

.. it rains here a lot even during the summer months and the carpet is right next to the patio windows ... I would have flooring thats much more durable and easier for guests to clean ... otherwise it's sheer perfection... thank you for a wonderful stay

Hello Geraldine, Thank you so much for your feedback, which is much appreciated. We have invested in a carpet cleaner and so the carpets are cleaned regularly, however when they finally need replacing we think we will go for something more practical in the sitting room area, with a big rug for those who prefer something softer underfoot. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay, thank you so much for leaving the lodge in such a tidy manner. You and your dogs are welcome back to 7 Wild Haven any time. • "Beautiful lodge on a lovely site."

Potential holiday makers should be aware that there is still a lot of construction going on around the site. It didn't make any difference to us, but it may bother some. Lodge was well laid out, very well equipped and clean. Beds were very comfortable. the park will be beautiful when finished. There was easy access from the site onto the New Forrest where you can walk amongst cows, horses and pigs within a minute of leaving the site. The New Forrest was very waterlogged due to recent continuous rain, so take appropriate footwear and gaters. Only 30 mins to Salisbury and the same into Southampton, it was peaceful but had easy access to all the usual big town facilities and shops.

Hello Louise Thank you so much for your positive review, we really appreciate it. It is the closed season for Lovat Holidays, who own the park, and so they are busy moving lodges on our road, and do have a new development being constructed on the far side of the park. We were assured that the work wouldn’t impact on our lodge and are pleased that it didn’t affect you. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at 7 Wild Haven and you are welcome back any time Kind regards Alan and Michelle Property Owner

  • "Lovely Lodge and we felt really comfortable."

The layout was well thought out and we really enjoyed our stay. The decking area was very nice but not used due to the time of year but due to the construction being plastic it was extremely slippery when the temperature was near freezing.

Hello Martyn, Thank you very much for the great review, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at 7 Wild Haven. Thank you also for the feedback about the decking. This is the first time we've had arctic weather since purchasing the lodge and will make sure we do all we can to keep the decking slip free in icy conditions Kind regards Alan & Michelle Property Owner

  • "The chalet is in beautiful show-home condition but the instruction was to leave it as we found it which meant we couldn't relax or feel comfortable being there - we had a child and dogs so we were on the constant look out for potential mishaps."

There are strict rules to abide by listed in the chalet and a reminder email the day before departure about the housework we needed to do. Viakal left under the sink, plenty of sponges but no hoover so we were on our hands and knees with dustpan & brush - asking patrons who have paid for a holiday to leave to site as if they've never been there negates the concept of it being a holiday- I can clean for free at home. Thursday was site maintance day with lawn mower, strimmer and leaf blower parading back and forth with diesel fumes pervading the air was another disappointment. The location itself is really lovely and staff at Reception super friendly; it would be a perfect holiday without the passive aggressive nature of the owner's requirements; they seem too precious about the property rent it out.

Hello Katherine Thank you for your feedback. All feedback is welcome and helps us to improve. We will re-iterate what we said in the email we sent you: Our aim is to provide guests with a lodge that will wow them when they arrive, but we do not expect guests to have to clean the lodge prior to their departure. This is why we don't include a vacuum cleaner and only supply some basic cleaning products to be used only if needed. All that we are asking guests is that they treat the lodge with care. We certainly are not asking for guests to spend their holiday time cleaning. All cleaning will be done by us after guests depart. The email you mentioned about cleaning to be done prior to departure was sent by Sykes and is a generic email they send to all their customers who book through them. The email just politely asks for basics to be done like emptying the bins, loading the dishwasher etc. Other guests that have stayed at 7 Wild Haven have received the same email but not taken it to mean they must clean the property, as I'm confident that the thousands of other Sykes customer don't. Regarding the park maintenance, we have forwarded your comments to the maintenance team. They do take care to be as quick as possible and take other measures such as not doing maintenance at the weekends. The park is kept in immaculate condition which I'm sure many guests would prefer so I'm not sure how else they could manage this essential work. You are most welcome to stay at 7 Wild Haven again, but if you still feel that our property is not for you, we hope that you find a holiday let that has a level of cleanliness which you can relax in. Kind regards Alan and Michelle Property Owner
