"We really enjoyed our stay."
Lucy sent good communication prior to arrival. Entry through key coded security gates, nice easy parking right by back door.
We settled in straight away, clean comfortable cosy accommadation, priced very reasonably a nice home from home. The views and scennary, the location, peace and quiet, close enough to visit Stone Henge, Salisbury, Shaftsbury is really nice with famous Hovis Hill. Just up the road short drive is Fonthill Lakes for a nice stroll or simply follow the walk out up the track and you can enjoy the woods on your doorstep.
Many thanks Jason and Alexandra
Lovely to meet you, thank you for lovely comments above I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards, Lucy and Chris.

"A lovely place to stay, comfortable, clean, well equipped with very nice hosts, (Chris and Lucy) included!"
Setting in the horse stud farm is quite unique and there are plenty of places to walk around the premises, weather permitting that is. Ideal for two people with the only slight problem being the narrow spiral staircase which older people might find a little bit difficult to use. Other than that absolutely perfect thank you.

"The cottage was lovely, in a fantastic location."
Although it felt very rural, it was convenient for a number of places, several pubs providing food (we went to The Wyndham and would recommend) and the local villages are picturesque. The owner Lucy was very friendly and helpful, with suggestions on where to walk the dog etc. Overall, a relaxing break in a beautiful location.
Glad you had a lovely and special Birthday
Sorry for the unexpected visits from the puppy and been so understanding.

Situated in an idyllic country setting, it is very quiet with splendid views across the fields. If you wish to venture further afield, the A303 and A350 are not far away providing good access to a host of destinations. Facilities-wise, it has everything you need for a short break or a longer stay. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review, and the lovely comment. Can’t believe I got 100% for cleanliness when I had to whiz round quickly as I’ve got my timings wrong for arrivals!!
I’d love to understand what wasn’t very comfortable as I know everybody says that it’s the most comfortable bed and mattress and I have one lady with a bad back that special comes here because of the mattress.
We are quite new to holiday let’s we are always looking for ways to improve and feedback from customers.

"Lovely, cosy property in beautiful surroundings."
Well equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. Fabolous views across the valley.
We really enjoyed walking along the gallop track where we saw hares, deer and lots of different birds as well as the resident horses. Our dog loved it and my husband took lots of photos.
Great location for exploring the local area, such Old Sarum, Shaftesbury, Stourhead, the Caen Hill flight of locks at Devizes...
As in many small cottages the stairs are very steep but I would highly recommend to anyone who does not have mobility issues. We had very restful and peaceful week.
Thank you it was a pleasure to have you to stay and I hope you got some fabulous pictures
I will make sure the stairs are more clearly mentioned in the particulars and that there is a picture of them might be a good idea. Many thank for been great guests

"Unfortunately we had to leave early from our stay."
We had a lovely time during the time we did stay. A beautiful location, lots of wildlife, hares, deer, swallows and of course the beautiful horses. A lovely walk along the gallops for on lead dog walking. The only problem we encountered were the stairs, which are very steep and narrow, so if mobility is an issue this would be problematic. Otherwise, if peace and tranquility are what you are looking for, this is the place for you. A nice friendly pub nearby with weekly speciality pop up food was a bonus. The hosts were going on a well-earned break while we were there, but when we did meet them, they were lovely and extremely approachable.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, Back even with your unfortunate circumstances
I do hope you can come back again and have a proper break and relax enjoying the valley fully

The location was stunning, and the views from the property were amazing. The property itself was lovely, and the welcome pack was very well received. Lucy and Chris were brilliant hosts, providing us with a fan and access to their pool in the hot weather. We would thoroughly recommend this property and would love to stay there again in the future.
Lovely to have you all. Thank you great to hear how easy it was to get to the pub as I’ve only walked it with a pony! Do come again and stop off many thanks

"The annex is a lovely place to relax and chill out."
Set overlooking a valley that gets sun from dawn to dusk, there is usually something to catch your eye. We visited in June so there were plenty of swallows and we were able to watch a Roe doe with her two kids on numerous occasions grazing in the paddocks as well as Kestrels, Buzzards, Red Kites, Hares and more. We were pleased we had binoculars with us to watch, so do bring some if you have them. Being set on a stud farm there are of course horses to watch and at this time of year young foals too. The accommodation is cosy and there are plenty of places to visit in the area. Can certainly recommend the annex for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Very comfortable and clean, comfy bed and sheets, good WiFi reception and also a bath, so for me everything was just perfect. The horses were so beautiful and it felt very peaceful to be around them, walking the dog up the track every day was lovely. Teffont is picture perfect and strolling with the dog can feel like walking through a wonderful dream. Thanks so much for the welcome provisions they were much appreciated the eggs were delicious! I will definitely be back Poppy and I loved our stay!
We are so glad to hear you had a lovely time we would love to see you back in our Clarendon valley with all the animals beside the quintessentially English village Teffont with its thatched roofed houses weeping willows by the trickling chalk stream and climbing roses and honey suckle. Thank you so much for coming with the lovely Poppy. Glad it was worth the long drive.

"A very comfortable cottage in a peaceful and very beautiful part of Wiltshire."
Access to the property was very easy. The owners entered my phone number into the automatic gates and when I arrived, I rang the number that they had given me and the gates swung open. Once inside the gates, the whole area is very secure.
The cottages was very well equipped with all that I needed. The bed deserves a mention, as it was very comfortable.
Eating meals, looking out over the fields, with horses and wildlife, added to the air of tranquility.
The surrounding area was very beautiful and with surprisingly little traffic, away from the main tourist attractions.
I would visit again.
Glad you had a lovely stay and escape to Wiltshire to see the lovely local places. Thank you for all the info re local visiting places I will update the book. And the Semley cafe by Wardour castle with good coffee and freshly made sandwiches is so useful for people. Huge thank you for been so understanding with having the new oven put in on your arrival. "The kitchen could do with updating."
Some local information i.e. maps of local walks would be helpful.
The B3089 was much busier than expected so there was quiet a lot of road noise.
An over complicated gate entry system for a holiday cottage.
Hi I am so sad and sorry to see that your stay was not as expected, and you did not enjoy it as much as other guests. We are only 3 ticks standard on Sykes but I believe we meet it quite well re facilities. Good news is we have new hob and cooker already in the kitchen and the parasol for outside dining has been moved up to the patio from winter storage. We wish you had mentioned re parasol and cleaning clothes, running out, stones etc earlier as we’re here 24x7 and happy to help.
The road sadly does get busy when Stonehenge road blocks up on bank holidays but the electric gates give a great security and separation. Sadly Chris was away for work and travelling hence the mix up re setting up your number but this has worked effortlessly for others.
Thank you for the feed back we are new and looking to improve the annex the info book has been updated too!

"It's a great place to stay to explore the area around Teffont Magna."
I would say the area is better than the Cotswolds but without the coaches.
The cottage is everything you will want for a short stay or a long stay, yeah it's a nice place that I would recommend.
Flowers on arrival eggs from the farm milk in the fridge.... nice welcoming touches.

"Can't praise this little Annexe and the hosts Lucy and Chris enough."
The supplies (food basics and extras, toiletries, cleaning products) and facilities provided were above and beyond - they thought of everything. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, all good quality. The sofa is lovely and large. The bedding is such lovely quality and the bed very comfy. I didn't want to get up. The views are lovely, even in winter, and there is a safe route to take dogs for walks between the fields and up to the woods. Our dog loved it. We loved seeing the horses too. All made for a very enjoyable stay over New Year.
One little thing to be aware of is the steps to the bedroom are quite steep and narrow, so might be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Also, the road at the front of the property does not have pavement in either direction, so its not safe to walk straight out. Car needs to be used to get to anywhere else for walks/ food/ pub/ shops especially in the evening.
All in all, we would definitely recommend a stay at the Clarendon Stud!
Thank you.
You were our first guests so glad we had thought of everything. I’ve added the details of the bedroom steps to the advert, as I thought they were in.
I will leave descriptions of how to walk to the pubs nearby in the Annex manual. There is the Black Dog at Chilmark and the Compass pub both accessible off road via our fields . It’s lovely in warmer drier weather.
Thank you for being such lovely guests with your gorgeous dog.
