  • "The property has great potential, and it's clear a lot of effort has gone into it."

The Welsh cakes, tea, and coffee were a lovely welcome, and we were impressed by the amount of space. The location is excellent, with local amenities nearby and the beach just a 10-minute walk away. A welcome pack with local information, house instructions, and bin collection details would be a useful addition, especially as the bins were full on arrival. There were a few cleanliness and maintenance issues that could be improved. We noticed a damp dog smell in the living/dining area, along with dog hair in several places, including drawers, floors, and even the fridge. There were also food remnants in the freezer and around the sink, human hair in a bedroom drawer, and one double bed was missing a mattress protector. A few items would benefit from repair or attention, including a broken clock, a damaged bedroom drawer, a loose kitchen door handle, and a possible electrical issue with the hall light, which gave off a burning smell when switched on. Labelling the light switches would also make things easier for guests. The bath was fantastic and definitely a highlight after a day out. The shower cubicle could benefit from a curtain to prevent water splashing everywhere, and the en-suite bedroom may feel more comfortable with a headboard rather than the radiator behind the bed. The living/dining area is a lovely space that catches the evening sun and opens onto a pleasant garden seating area. As a personal preference, some blinds or curtains would make it feel cosier and offer more privacy in the evenings. Before leaving, we noticed some water pooling under the kitchen sink, which may indicate a leak. It was also great to have access to both a washing machine and dryer for longer stays. Overall, this is a spacious property in a fantastic location with lots of potential. With a little more attention to cleaning and a few maintenance updates, it could be an excellent place to stay. Many thanks ☺️
