  • "Beautiful cottage, immaculately and sensitively presented in an idyllic location."

Owners Ann and Andrew were outstandingly helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate to recommend this property, and have already booked to return in the Autumn. Wonderful walks from the door, great eating and drinking to be had within easy reach at Grassington or Linton. The outdoor space is amazing for Alfresco dinning weather permitting with direct access to the river. We have stayed in many cottages in Scotland and England and this is certainly one of the best.

Thank you for your wonderful review, it’s brilliant to receive. Thank you for being such friendly, fun, fabulous guests. We’re so very pleased that you’re returning in Autumn and will look forward to welcoming you back then. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful weekend in this fabulous cottage."

Very quiet riverside location at the end of the lane. The cottage is beautifully decorated and maintained. The kitchen is extremely well kitted out with everything you could ever need. Bedrooms are large and beds extremely comfortable. Large garden along the river bank with plenty of good quality furniture. And the block of tiffin left for us on arrival was amazing! Really good and friendly communication from the owner. Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet cottage with easy access to Grassington and the surrounding area.

An absolute beautiful cottage full of personality! Incredibly well equipped with a fantastic big communal kitchen, cosy living rooms, and fresh fun bedrooms. The garden is beautiful and stretches all the way down to the river. You're walking distance from both Grassington and Linton both of which have lovely pubs. Ann and Andrew were brilliant hosts, on hand for any queries and made the stay really welcoming. Could not recommend this cottage more !

  • "This house went above and beyond."

Not only is it just generally in such a beautiful area with views from both at the front and back of the house, but the house itself inside is so comfortably and stylishly furnished. The hosts have equipped the house fantastically, we made a meal on one night altogether in the house and we had absolutely everything we needed. It’s so thoughtfully designed. Would 100% recommend. Also walking distance to both villages. We went for an amazing meal in Grassington on our first night.

Thank you so much Freya for such a lovely review & for taking the time to write it. The property

Grassington 1 mile.

Skipton 9 miles.

Kirk Yett is a gorgeous property nestled in a tranquil location next to the River Wharf in the hamlet of Linton Falls.

Built 300 years ago as a home for visiting preachers, Kirk Yett has retained charm and character and is a beautifully furnished and equipped house where every room has a view with window seats to curl up on.

A pleasant stroll from the appeals of Linton and Grassington, with walks from the door, Kirk Yett is the ideal starting point for families, friends or couples for outdoor adventures or indoor relaxation.

Stepping inside, guests are welcomed into a sitting room where a woodburning stove provides a warm and comforting focal point after days spent exploring the surrounding countryside.

Continue through into Kirk Yett's large, well-equipped kitchen/diner, the perfect gathering space, to enjoy cooking and sharing meals with your favourite people.

A cottage snug with its own woodburning stove offers an additional retreat, a charming space for quiet moments, perhaps a book, a game from the cupboard or a peaceful evening indoors.

Halfway up the stairs, the landing window seats beckon a pause to sit and look out onto the river and Dales Way path beyond.

Continuing upstairs on the second floor, three thoughtfully arranged bedrooms provide a super comfortable place to rest.

These include a super-king-size (zip/link) room, a king-size bedroom with its own woodburning stove and en-suite walk-in shower, and a double room.

A luxurious, spacious house bathroom features a freestanding bath with a view over the river, walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC.

The ground-floor cloakroom adds further convenience.

Venture outdoors - first steps take you onto a gravelled area with outdoor dining furniture before heading on to a spacious lawned area with further seating.

And then down to a gently untamed stretch of garden hugging the river with hidden corners to explore.

A garden full of opportunities to find a favourite spot to sit and watch wildlife and amazing sunsets, or head down to the water's edge to take a swim.

With off-road parking available and entertainment including games, a TV, and Smart TV, the house caters equally well to relaxed days and cosy evenings.

Nearby Grassington offers traditional village charm with welcoming pubs, cafés and independent shops, while Skipton provides a lively market town atmosphere and its well-known castle.

The wider Wharfedale area invites scenic walks and beautiful countryside, and both Ilkley and Harrogate sit within driving distances for elegant streets, gardens and eateries, making Kirk Yett a wonderful base for discovering the Yorkshire Dales.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
