Quirky house, beautiful location, quiet area, overall good place to stay,
It's personal observations, to which some people will disagree,
The matress in the back room , not fit for purpose, I have titanium rods I my spine , flin and flimsy, offers no support, back door lock needed attention, same with back gate lock, both been reported 2mth earlier, according to data available at residence, lack of storage in rooms , sets of draws be helpful, considering size of downstairs rooms kitchen area small and cramped are
Had contemplated returning, after conversation with family, doubt that will happen,
People will disagree with my observations,

"We really enjoyed our stay at this holiday home."
Check-in was easy and straightforward using a key safe with a code.
The house is on the smaller side but has a unique charm that reflects a bygone era. It is lovingly decorated in a coastal theme, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything we needed for everyday living was provided, so we had everything we needed during our stay. The bathroom was clean and functional.
One amusing detail was the number of locked cupboards and chests throughout the house—it almost felt like being in an escape room! Behind the house, there is a lovely garden that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying some time outdoors.
The absolute highlight, however, is the fantastic location right by the sea. We were also fortunate to have very friendly and helpful neighbours who keep an eye on the property and were happy to assist us when needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
One small point for improvement would be the kettle, which we had to descale before we could use it. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this holiday home to others.

"What a lovely place to stay!"
The location couldn’t be better with the sea across the road, we loved our walks on the beach. Everything was lovely and clean with everything we could want. The welcome pack was really appreciated after our journey up. The enclosed back yard was spot on, Tommy (greyhound) could wander in and out as he wanted.
We have already rebooked, I think that says it all.

"We had a perfect week."
Weather was kind, beaches were glorious too! The house was fully equipped with everything, even dog bowls! Great location for days out which is what we did. One thing I would say is to make sure your gas meter is topped up for guests.. we went out new years eve, after a long cold day, we ran a bath to find it was freezing, that night (all night) there was no hot water. Messages the number in the book but they had to get hold of the owner, this was new years eve, messaged on social media too! It ruined a damn good week. It was finally topped up but it didn't work until the morning! The after care was much better, left a note in the book too but nobody called the next day to make sure ok or apologise. Such a shame as we want to return again. Even sent a request in Instagram for rates but no reply. If it wasn't so cold it would have been fine!!

"The weather was brilliant so it would have been great to have an outside table and chairs as there was no way to eat outside."
Also, the back bedroom was short of a chest of drawers or dressing table. Apart from that, everything else was perfect and the welcome pack was a lovely touch so thank you.

"This was our 2nd stay at Marine Drive."
Beautifully presented in a great location. However we were disappointed to find that items which needed maintenance/addressing a year ago were still an issue. Wallpaper peeling off in a few rooms, badly fitted toilet seat and shower door trim that needs cleaning/replacing. Had these been done I would have given 5 stars.

"Absolutely lovely home to stay in which is in a perfect location."
The styling throughout was easygoing and relaxed which was great and we loved the Lighthouse lamp! Facilities were more than adequate and of good quality. The only major thing for me was the mattress in the main bedroom, I thought it was far too firm, it gave me backache and my sleep was uncomfortable but this is a personal preference. I felt a higher quality medium firmness mattress would be more appropriate to try and alleviate this as it should be suitable for everyone.
The owner was more than understanding when we accidentally broke a pot in the bathroom (which we replaced).
The location is was amazing and waking up to the sea directly outside my window was a massively positive experience each day.
Parking was always easy to find.
My dog loved the location and settled into the home very easily and the touches put in place for her were lovely such as the food and water bowls, dog towel and rug.
The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and very much appreciated, I would definitely recommend Marine Drive and would stay again if the mattress was upgraded, or a memory foam topper added to make it a bit softer.

"Excellent property very clean and tidy."
Great views out to sea through front windows watching fishing boats and cargo ships. We were also fortunate and saw the dolphins on the way to the headland. Very comfortable and homely feel to cottage, only improvement would be a dishwasher.

Lovely spotlessly clean property. Directly opposite the beach which was a great bonus as the weather was gorgeous. Ideally situated and within east reach of A19. A visit to Hartlepool Marina is a must to check out the eateries. Would definitely stay here again

We will be back for a longer stay next year as we are moving back to Hartlepool after being down south for 35 years and need to decide on which area we wish to live.

Everything you could need, and more, was provided.
The owner also left a very lovely welcome pack, it was such a nice thing to do and much appreciated.
Views from house incredible, especially watching and listening to the sea from bed!! Walks along the front so good.
There is so much to see locally on the Headland, in Hartlepool, or short distance driving.
RSPB, National Trust sites, Seaton Carew are just a few ideas. A big plus is the National museum of the Royal Navy.
We would love to go back again
Thank you Lynn for sharing your experience with us!

"Our stay at 'The Beech House' was absolutely wonderful and comfortable."
The welcome pack left on the dining room table was a really lovely thought and very welcome. The owners of this property certainly take pride in every aspect of their property as it was so very clean & tidy and have lovely taste in the decoration. We found everything you could think of was provided to make ones holiday stress free & relaxing.
We met the owner as we were leaving at the end of our stay, who was so very pleasant and informative. We hadn't been to Hartlepool before but we really liked the area and plan to return in the near future as there is so much we didn't get to see/visit as one week stay was just not long enough to cover it all. We highly recommend to everyone this property and area for a well earned vacation.

Thank you Doug & Jo for your positive and thoughtful feedback.
We are happy to hear you loved your stay at the Beach House. Hartlepool, Seaton Carew and Headlands are beautiful places and have so much to offer. One can visit National Museum of Royal Navy, Heugh Battery Museum, birds and wildlife sanctuary RSPB at Saltburn and many more.

Comfy house all through, I slept amazingly well and I loved being on the front with such a great view out to sea. My only suggestion is a TV upstairs would be a nice addition to allow for different viewing tastes. We will definitely be returning.

"The Beach House, 7 Marine View is a great holiday house."
The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and the equipment provided was excellent.
We like to cook our own meals and there was every utensil you could ever need to cook and bake whatever you wanted.
The furniture is very comfortable and the small back garden is a real sun trap.
The proximity to the sea and beach is also a massive plus.
We are walking the English coastal path in stages and will definitely stay here again, it is a perfect base to return to after a long days walking.
Thank you Suzanne very much for your positive feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcome you back again at the Beach House.
