The cottage was lovely and cosy even without the heating on and well equipped and the location was fantastic for peace and quiet; Dark skies and hundreds of rabbits in the fields around to keep us entertained!

Lots of walks straight from the cottage to take our dog walking (do invest in an up to date OS Map as some footpaths on the one in the cottage no longer exist!) Dog owners do need to be aware the fence in garden is only about 3 foot high and there are sheep right beside the track to the cottage.which runs through their field... The track itself is unfortunately very rutted and can catch low-slung and average sized cars if you're not careful negotiating it, as mentioned in the listing but fine if you take it easy. The Black Bull in Wolsingham serves some excellent food and is dog friendly and there are plenty of days out within easy driving of the cottage. Recommend the Hamsterly Forest drive with loads of walking(and cycling) trails and a cafe and facilities.

We had an amazing holiday!

The quiet country side with rolling hills was just what our family needed. The house is clean with really comfortable beds. We loved watching the wild rabbits jumping around the feilds! Would love to come again!
