  • "Lovely cottage in a quiet peaceful location ideal for relaxing or as a base to visit nearby towns, villages and of course the Yorkshire Dale's."

    Plenty of walking and fresh air done and visit of nearby Pateley Bridge and surrounding area which was lovely. The cottage host Simon was helpful and informative about the local area and the accommodation was lovely with great 360 degree views from the cottage. We were provided with lovely welcoming supplies left for us to enjoy by the host which was a very nice touch. We stayed for 3 nights and made use of the wood burner for cozy nights in and it definitely gave that extra special effect. Lots of nature in the area and grounds to see and hear especially lots of owls hooting away at night. Would definitely return again with our dog on a longer stay in the future

  • "We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely cottage, Simon and Annette made us feel very welcome, the welcome goodies were a lovely touch, we especially liked having the fresh herbs and lettuce straight from the garden & the paddock was nice to stroll around with the dog."

    We enjoyed the calm, peaceful, tranquil atmosphere and location of the cottage, having access to the footpath straight from the door from which you can access the whole of Niderdale was exceptional, truly a 5 star experience.

  • "Cosy cottage with lovely views in a convenient location for exploring Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales."

    . Everything provided to make guests welcome including extras like fruit, wine milk etc. The large comfortable bed and quiet surroundings ensured a good nights sleep. Modern bathroom with plenty of hot water for relaxing after walks. Would highly recommend.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Cliff House Cottage."

    Simon was a great host and provided a clean and comfortable accommodation. He also switched on good weather for us which was a bonus. Would highly recommend this place for anyone, especially for the outstanding views.

  • "The cottage was ideally situated for exploring Nidderdale and nearby towns and villages."

    The owners live on site and were friendly, informative and very welcoming. The cottage has recently been renovated to a very high standard, it was cosy, comfortable and well appointed. The views from the lounge and bedroom were breathtaking. We have no hesitation in recommending this property for a couple looking for a quiet retreat in the Yorkshire Dales.

  • "This property is absolutely superb in every way and in a fantastic location for walking , running and exploring the local area."

    The views from all aspects were simply stunning. Everything is finished to a very high standard , and very spacious for 2 people and a dog . The shower was amazing and the bed super comfy. We felt very at home right from the time of arrival and was sad to leave . Simon the owner of the property who lives next door was very welcoming and helpful. We will look forward to returning.   • "Had a wonderful week at Cliffe House."

    The cotttage is in a lovely countryside location not far from local amenities. The accommodation is pleasantly light and airy, very clean, the kitchen dining area has everything one needs. The lounge is very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom has the best shower I've seen on my travels. The bedroom is a good size with a massive extremely comfortable bed. All in the cottage has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Hosts Simon and Annette made us very welcome, were on hand if required and were extremely knowledgeable about the local area.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Cliffe House Cottage."

    The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. It had everything you possibly need, everything was very high spec, so much thought has gone into this by Simon and Annette, the owners. We met Simon, who is a lovely person and very informative of the surrounding area. The view from the back of the cottage is stunning. The garden is perfect to sit and relax in, getting the sun until the evening. The area is stunning and so peaceful. There are so many places to explore without having to travel to far and lots more if you choose to travel further. All in all, this cottage and area were beautiful and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you Simon for everything.

    As we were the first guests to stay at Cliffe House cottage and avid users of Skyes we were really impressed with the cottage. We had every amenity and the cottage was to a high spec, not missing the comfort and cosy giving us a lovely relaxing stay. The views were absolutely stunning and the trips to local towns and villages did not disappoint. The hosts Simon and Annette were very engaging and attentive .

    It was a delight to meet the three of you !! If every guest is as good as you then letting our beloved cottage will be an absolute joy. Pateley Bridge, voted Great Britain's Best Village High Street in 2016, is a charming Dales town nestled in the steep-sided valley of the River Nidd. Quaint little alleys and yards off the steep main street house many interesting shops offering a wide range of unusual gifts and mementos, plenty of places to eat and drink, two award-winning butchers, a bakery, and the oldest sweet shop in England.
