2 Customer Reviews

  • "Very well provided with high-standard equipment."

Warm and comfortable. Situated in a not particularly salubrious immediate area, but but very close to restaurants, pubs, bus station and Morrisons; in any case, most guests will be out exploring most of the time. Railway stations (BR and K-W) 10 minutes walk; 'Spoons 2 minutes. Very happy with our stay!

  • "The flat was clean and in a great location."

The bed was comfy and it was quiet at night so I slept well. However: The entrance to the shower cubicle was too narrow as it was too close to the toilet. I had to slide in sideways and slide out sideways. On my first day one of the two windows became faulty and I couldn’t close it properly.I reported it to the one listed phone number. There was indeed a problem and it was fixed on the Monday. The communication from the person on the listed number was less than ideal as between Friday and Monday I had no idea when it would be fixed. The flat was a bit stuffy with no views to speak of. The shutter blinds could be opened to let light in via a very flimsy stool once the person on the listed number had informed me how to. There was no dining table so it was just as well I was planning to eat out. The area was very scenic with lots of beautiful places within easy reach by bus and train and I would, will visit the area again. Not the same flat. This would not suit a very large person due to the size of it. I expected it to be larger. I would recommend that it’s suitable for one skinny person or a skinny couple. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

About the location

KEIGHLEY

Haworth 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.

The large market town of Keighley is situated in Aire valley in West Yorkshire, within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town, mentioned in the Domesday Book, grew during the 18th and 19th centuries due to wool and cotton industries. Today Keighley offers a shopping centre, pubs, takeaways and restaurants, whilst on the outskirts of the town are two retail parks, and the Keighley and Worth Valley Light Railway, made famous by the film The Railway Children in the 1970’s, runs for five miles through the town to the village of Oxenhope. Just one mile out of town is the wonderful 17th century National Trust East Riddlesden Hall, and just four miles away is the village of Haworth, made famous as the home to the Bronte sisters. The village offers cobbled streets, lovely shops and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Close by is the market town of Skipton and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, plus within driving distance are the city of York and delightful Harrogate. A lovely base to explore a large part of Yorkshire.
