Great views from the front rooms and the garden across the valley.
We had a sunny weekend that made the autumn colours spectacular. The house is well equipped and maintained. Plenty of room for the four of us. Did I mention the views?!?
Great location with a choice of walks to get into the town, depending on your mobility.
The garden is MAGICAL! We booked this place because the reviews waxed lyrical about the cleanliness of the place. Might be true if you’re “normal” but unfortunately we are a bit “abnormal” and we get the ick quite easily. If you’re ok with a kitchen with an ingrained cooking smell, smears and (worst of all for me!) other people’s crumbs (ewww!) then I totally recommend this place, otherwise give it a wide berth!
Dangerous as steep steps from terrible parking spot to front door.
Not recommended for people with mobility problems, elderly or people with young children. Notice staying you have to bring your trash home with you, what the heck?! Also, warning lable on wood stove you are not allowed to use wood stove 'as you are not trained or insured to use it'. Large Fire Exit stickers all over entry door, not exactly relaxing. Stepping out of door onto first step is steep and you can easily catch your foot on the high lip at the bottom of the door and there is no landing, just a step. Floors creak everywhere. Owner can control heat setting remotely.
