The attractive, little Pennine town of Hebden Bridge sits within the Calderdale area and provides home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful well-preserved Victorian railway station. It has an abundance of independent shops, including art galleries, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants. The independent cinema and the famous Trades Club are also close-by.

The charming Victorian village of Heptonstall is a short uphill walk accessible from the top of the garden. This picturesque and thriving community boasts attractions such as the medieval church ruins, local history museum and Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath heritage.

Excellent walking country is on the doorstep, with the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way close by. Fabulous cycling, as featured in the 2014 Tour de France, and the Tour de Yorkshire, can be enjoyed from your doorstep.

Many further attractions are easily reachable by car. The thriving cultural centre of Todmorden is a short drive.
