  • "The Feed Room is an excellent place to stay; clean, comfortable, warm, and having really everything you need for a holiday stay."

    The furnishings and appliances are quality items. We found the beds very comfortable, the ensuite shower rooms fabulous. The electric velux roof windows helped us control the temperature on hot days. The owners were present but never intrusive. Having 2 parking spaces for the accommodation is excellent. The setting is quiet apart from some sheep! We did have a bit of noise from an attached cottage but that's out of the owners' control. Overall a great place to stay and we would happily stay again.

  • "A lovely clean and bright property, perfect for exploring the local area."

    Within an hour of Wensleydale, Bolton Castle and Mount Grace Priory. Although part of several holiday cottages the area was so quiet and peaceful all we could hear was bird song. Owner replies speedily to contact and was friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again.

  • "My wife and I booked this last year as a Christmas present for my parents and we all loved it, well worth the wait."

    The house is modern, spotless and very comfortable. We had a very minor issue not long after arrival but the host was very quick to respond and was soon resolved. An ideal place for a getaway and only a ten minute drive or so in to Thirsk. Don’t hesitate to book if you like the look of it.

  • "We absolutely loved The Feed Room."

    Having Superkingsize and Kingsize beds with two en-suites and an additional downstairs toilet was perfect for us. The spacious layout of the kitchen diner and lounge areas with all the usual mod-cons (except a tumble dryer) felt luxurious. There were thoughtful finishing touches too, like having a tray for muddy boots, providing washing and dishwasher tablets and having a well equipped kitchen with a folder full of instruction manuals for the various equipment (always a bonus). The decor was like new and very tastefully done. The canvas of three quizzical donkeys looking questioningly at me over breakfast always made me smile too. It’s worth noting that the beds are very firm which is good for a bad back but the sofa is quite soft and there’s a great oversized beanbag!

  • "Lovely converted stable block, very modern with everything you will need."

    Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Nice towels. Very clean Has a nice little outside seating area. The property is down a narrow road but its only 10 mins to the local village and Ripon and Thirsk are about 30 mins away, with York a bit further. Well worth a visit

  • "The property is great and really well maintained."

    We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Location is good and central in terms of accessing attractions both West and East but they tend to be at least an hour in either direction. Thirsk is about 10-15 minutes drive and has supermarkets and good restaurants/eating options

  • "Beautiful cottage very well fitted out especially kitchen."

    Excellent facilities ensuite shower rooms to both bedrooms. The only negative was the small unit suite in the lounge was not suitable for four people to sit on, there is nowhere else to sit except on one of the kitchen chairs, and the facilities ie. the two lovely bedrooms are for four people.

    We were very comfortable during our stay and really appreciated the peaceful setting. It is well placed for visits to York, Thirsk, Ripon, Northallerton , Harrogate and other Yorkshire towns and villages - all within a 20 miles or so drive.

  • "The Feed room was a very nice conversion alongside other cottages in a courtyard setting."

    Everything was brand new and well thought out with lovely bedding and fluffy towels. The kitchen had everything required and a table with seating for four people. One of the king size beds converts to two singles which worked for us. However, my only negative was the seating in the lounge; the settee was very comfortable with a chaise at one end and a huge footstool and it was ok for the 3 of us but if 4 people were staying another chair is needed and there was plenty of space for this. All in all an excellent base for visiting all that North Yorkshire has to offer.
