The Kerr

Heather was very pleasant and welcoming.

The property is very clean and reasonably well equipped but found the kitchen very small.

We had a wonderful week in the Kerr.

The location is perfect to reach the Dales, Skipton and Haworth. But it is also very beautiful just to take a walk around the village, past the lovely ancient church and the canal. The cottage itself is very well maintained and has everything you need for a short stay. Thank you so much to Heather for her warm and friendly welcome and hospitality!

The Kerr is situated n a small friendly village near Keighley.

It was exceptionally clean, comfy, well equipment and presented to a high standard. Kildwick is conveniently situated to tour and visit the area and a short stroll leads to the Leeds and Liverpool canal with two excellent cafes and local shops close by.. Visits to Grassington, Haworth and the Keighley and Worth Railway recommended. Although on a road this was not obtrusive and a bonus to be able to park the car undercover in a garage. Nice to meet Heather, the owner, to share her local knowledge of the area. It was a pleasure to stay at The Kerr.

Great location for exploring, with a scenic walk along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal nearby and easy access to Skipton and local amenities. The road can be quite busy at times, but otherwise it’s a peaceful and well-situated base for the area.

Enjoyed my stay and will return.

Cottage was clean well equipped and homely. Location ideal, 10 min to Skipton Railway Station which opens up a load of opportunities for day trips without the car. Pub with excellent food on the doorstep. Two good but different cafes with 5min walk either side off the house. Ideal for a touring break or relaxation break or combination!

We loved our time staying at The Kerr.

Its in a perfect location for visiting the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Heather the owner was lovely and very informative about where to visit. We found it excellent value and will return again.

Lovely cottage and very comfortable with great bathroom.

Liked the original features and loved being next to church. Pub over the road had good food and atmosphere. Great base location for visiting the area - went to Haworth, Skipton, Bolton Abbey and Harrogate. Good walks around cottage and canal too.

Lovely Bathroom but Shower Sealant needs attention

We really loved staying in this “old” cottage which had so much character.

The beds were very comfortable, the cottage was warm and quiet and it was good to have off road parking. The owners were lovely helping us unload our cases. Had a lovely conversation with one later in the stay. Location really good close to the village cafe and pub (Not open Mon/Tues) and canal for flat waking. Peaceful churchyard behind, the chimes lulled us to sleep Nicely. Would love to come back.

We enjoyed our stay but the arrangement for collecting the key did not work out as we sat 30 minutes waiting for the owner who had forgotten to tell us the key was under the pot and if I hadn't phoned her would we still be waiting !

!! After a 5.5 hour journey we really could have done without that. The cottage was in an ideal location right by the canal. Perfect for visiting other towns and villages especially Skipton

I liked the atmospheric location by St Andrew's church grounds and near a lovely stretch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

There's a friendly caff close by and the Trawlerman chippie is 5 minute walk. For photographic interest I visited Haworth, Bradford, Hewenden and Thornton viaducts, Winskill Stones, Ilkley, Bingley 5 Rise locks. The storm stopped me trying Pendle Hill. The Kerr is a fine base for all of that.

The Kerr was ideally placed for visiting the Skipton Area, we met the owners on our arrival who were friendly and helpful, we will probably use the Kerr again at some point and would definitely recommend it .

The Kerr is a lovely old cottage in quiet surroundings backing onto the grounds of the famous St Andrews Church and has been tastefully updated with high quality modern fittings.

Heather the owner met us on our arrival and could not have been more helpful and pleasant in giving us local information The cottage was cosy and very clean and tidy and the beds could not have more comfortable and there were lots of drawers and hangers for our clothes while the kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances. The cottage is ideally situated for going to Skipton and exploring the Yorkshire Dales as well as walking along the canal and there are plenty of nearby places to eat.

Only real criticism is that more drinking glasses are needed.

Could do with a shelf in the shower for toiletries. This is me being picky! Overall the cottage was beautiful, beds were very comfortable. Pub just over the road, very friendly and food was very good. Would recommend cottage.

Excellent cottage loved the four days spent there would stay again

We had a lovely 10 days at the Kerr as the house was perfect for us with everything we needed for our stay.

Owner was helpful with local knowledge, and we enjoyed the walks along the canal and the local coffee shop in old school room nearby.

Extremely comfortable bed & blackout curtains very useful.

Unfortunately traffic means no lie in as obviously busy road in spite of village location. Canal very close with good cafe just little way on towpath. Great for breakfasts. Church bells were very atmospheric but wish there was way out at back of house. White Lion pub excellent for food & always buzzing. Easy access to many Dales' locations with easy journey to Skipton or Keighley for shopping.

We found the property to be very comfortable, it had everything you would need inside, Nice pub across the road with beer garden as well, we liked the location it was very easy to get around the area by car,( you needed a car) very close to Skipton and other towns from the cottage you were literally minutes onto a main route, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Homely, comfortable and well equipped cottage at the heart of a pretty village. It's conveniently located for amenities and lots of interesting places to visit nearby. We're looking forward to a return visit

Had a really nice stay at The Kerr.

A perfect size for 3 people with two very comfortable beds. The house is situated in a village not far from Skipton and therefore just a short drive to the Yorkshire Dales.

Enjoy are stay at the Kerr the cottage was lovely and it was an ideal place to explore the area

A lovely period cottage in a beautiful part of Yorkshire - there’s so much to see and do.

The local pub and nearby canal walk were such a bonus. The owner checked in with us when we arrived and gave some helpful suggestions of where to eat due to a food allergy.

We really enjoyed our stay in this old cottage which has been so thoughtfully equipped for comfort.

The bathroom is especially luxurious with a very powerful shower and lovely bath. There is a parking space provided just up the road too. We visited Skipton, enjoyed a walk along the canal , also had two great meals in the local pub which is two minutes away ! Really loved our visit to Grassington and the nearby Linton Falls. There is so much to see and do around the area, this cottage has easy access so we will hopefully return soon.

We had a lovely stay over Xmas.

The cottage was very comfortable & warm & had everything we needed. Lovely hot shower & comfortable beds. There is a church at the back & the bells ringing on Xmas day were very atmospheric. Location was spot on. You can walk along the canal path at the back of the cottage to Skipton (4/5 miles) or Silsden (2 miles). Local Coop & Fish n Chip restaurant/takeaway across the main road. reached by a subway. There is a lovely pub just across the road. Bus stop is about 5 mins walk into Cross Hills behind the Coop. We would love to stay again in the spring/summer & would recommend

The Kerr is ideal for a short break in West Yorkshire.

With a pub across the road and the Leeds to Liverpool canal a very short walk away you don't need to wander far before you find things to do. We used the bus to get into Skipton which was a 7-10 walk away on the main road. If you want to wander in the hills and moors or have some Bronte culture you will be well placed here.

Lovely cottage in a quiet but central area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

The house was very clean and comfortable didn't sèe the owner all the equipment you would need except a hairdryer never been to a property that didn't have 1 before so wet hair all week apart from that I would highly recommend this property nicely situated shop in walking distance and pub 3 steps away lovely walks along the canal at back of cottage
