  • "Steam View Cottage is a beautiful cottage in a peaceful area but within easy walking distance of the main attractions in Hawarth."

    Very comfortable, welcoming, clean and well equipped. A lovely welcome hamper including treats for the dog. Property is dog friendly. Our spaniel enjoyed short on lead walks in nearby park and longer walks up on 'the wily windy moors'.

  • "We recently stayed for the second time, and wouldnt hesitate to do so again."

    Ideal location for anyone wanting to explore Haworth or further afield. Previously stayed in late autumn when the cottage was warm and cosy, this time during hot weather we found the cottage remained cool and a welcome retreat from the heat. Everything you would need is provided, its comfortable, fresh and clean. The street itself is car free and grassed over, making it safe for any children in the party. Everyone is friendly, its actually like stepping back in time, to how things used to be.. or maybe I've just been away from Yorkshire too long!

    So lovely to welcome you back to our cottage and thank you so much for providing such lovely feedback, we have been going nearly a year and receiving such a lovely message makes it so worthwhile. We hope to see you again soon for another visit Laura and Dean Property Owner

  • "I had a lovely week at Steam View Cottage."

    Comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Helpful and friendly neighbours too. The only point to note, which is nothing to do with the cottage, is not to rely on Google maps to get you to the right road. It wanted me to drive up a footpath.

    Thank you so much for providing feedback, we have had others that have been unable to find us with it been an unadopted room and have the grass verge which is lovely to look out on to but not to make us easy to find. Now you know where we are you will find us in the future. We intend to add WHATTHREEWORDS to our listing so people have others will have some help finding us.   • "The cottage is so beautiful."

    Such care and love has gone into making this property feel like your home. Everything is so comfortable and cosy, especially the beds. Laura and Dean are absolutely lovely and have paid great attention to detail. From the gift basket, cosy bedding during winter months and how well/thoughtfully the kitchen is equipped to the pretty front garden and interesting books about the area. Couldn't recommend highly enough and would stay there again in future.

  • "Steam View Cottage was perfect for our New Year stay in Haworth."

    The location of the cottage couldn’t be better. It is located on the cusp of Haworth Main Street and a few minutes’ walk through Central Park across the road to Haworth preserved station for the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. As the name suggests, from the front of the cottage, you can see the steam from the vintage locomotive as it chugs by - a touching sight and sound (not too close that it would remotely bother you). Steam View Cottage has a cosy feel yet is deceptively spacious upstairs with spacious bedrooms and bathroom. The rooms are well decorated and have solid furnishings, each with thoughtful touches. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    The house was spotless, and there was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived. The kitchen was fully equipped which made cooking so much easier. We would highly recommend a stay here and would love to come back.

  • "A beautiful cottage with everything you could need."

    The house is beautifully decorated and the little touches of the books and games are a great addition. Gorgeous welcome hamper. The house is situated very close to Main Street and the train station using the footbridge. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and communication was excellent. We will definitely be returning.

  • "Accommodation was brilliant clean with loads of local charm in a great location stayed in Haworth several times and this place is ideal for everything local pub ,shops and other food outlets including the chip shop which has a great reputation will be coming back ."

The property

Steam View Cottage is a characterful terraced home right in the heart of Haworth, West Yorkshire.

A great choice for families or friends, this welcoming retreat also invites along two well-behaved dogs, (if you have more pets please call us to discuss and we will confirm with the owner), making it easy to explore the historic village and surrounding countryside with your furry companions in tow.

The living area invites you to relax by the glow of the gas fire with a favourite film or boxset.

Just alongside, the dining area comfortably seats the whole group, ideal for lingering over home-cooked meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen.

Outdoors, the private garden offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine as you map out the next day’s plans.

Upstairs, there are three inviting bedrooms, two king-size and a single, two rooms featuring exposed beams and each room simply and tastefully styled to help you unwind after a day out on the moors.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
