  • "This cottage exceeded all our expectations."

It is spacious and really well equipped. Both Sykes Cottages and the owner kept us really well informed and were very easy to communicate with. The setting is idyllic, just by the village green and the river. The local pub (The Fountaine Inn) is excellent and serves really good food. You can literally walk out of the door for great walks to Burnsall or Grassington. We will certainly be back

  • "Excellent cottage in a fantastic location!"

The cottage was great for a family get together. The five en-suite bedrooms easily accommodated 8 adults, 1 child, 3 toddlers and a dog! There was everything we needed in the cottage. The kitchen was particularly well equipped. Claire, the owner, emailed a few days before our visit with a detailed breakdown of what was included in the cottage down to the little things such as tin foil, washing up liquid, coffee maker, coffee and tea, which helped when arranging an online shopping delivery. On arriving at the cottage we found our online shop had arrived early. Claire had been great about it. She has let the delivery driver make the delivery and had started unpacking the shopping and put chilled and frozen items in the fridge and freezer, which was very kind and helpful for us! The views around the cottage are stunning and made for a very relaxing break! It’s a 2 minute walk down to the village green where our grandchildren had a great time playing by the side of the river. Having the local pub on the village green was also a bonus for a quick drink! And the food was very good too. The cottage’s position is ideal for visiting other places in the beautiful Yorkshire dales too. We have stayed in several cottages in the past and this is definitely top of our list of favourites!!

  • "This is a truly exceptional property positioned in the most delightful village of Linton which hosts the superb Fountaine Inn."

The transition from a B&B has been thought out brilliantly with the kitchen, dining and entertainment spaces large, modern and so welcoming. To find somewhere with 5 en-suites is an absolute bonus and I wouldn’t hesitate to strongly recommend this property to both family stays and friends, we were a group of 5 couples.

Thank you for the super feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful week at Linton Laithe."

The property is extremely well equipped, comfortable and perfect for a group of 9,or 10.Linton is a pretty village and there are lots of walks from the house and a 20 minutes walk to Grassington over Linton falls. The owner was very friendly and helpful.Everything was very clean and we loved the sheep theme with tea towels, mugs and doorstops. The hob took a bit of learning to use but we got the hang of it.

Thank you for taking the time to review Linton Laithe and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I found the missing instructions for the hob thankfully. Property Owner

Grassington 1 mile; Skipton 7 miles.

Threshfield is a small village in Upper Wharfedale bordering the nearby villages of Grassington, Linton, Hetton, Cracoe and Rylstone, home of the famous ‘Calendar Girls’. Threshfield is a thriving local community. A few minutes drive is Grassington, one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where you will find traditional stone cottages, galleries, restaurants and shops, which are clustered around the cobbled market place, plus a monthly farmers' market provides a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Visitors can experience the delight of both the Grassington Festival held in June and the Dickensian Festival during December – both well worth a visit. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area.
