  • "The owner James is super friendly and helpful."

The kitchen is well equipped, the whole place is nicely decorated.

  • "Comfortable, clean and very quiet accommodation."

Owners next door if you need any assistance. Be aware that the bath/WC and twin bedroom are on the ground floor and the double bedroom is up two short flights of stairs. As long as this suits you, highly recommended. The surrounding area has beautiful countryside and lots of industrial heritage.

It was truly faultless, and we will certainly be going back in the future!

  • "We had a fabulous week at this beautiful and well thought out cottage."

Everything we needed for a week’s self-catering holiday was present in a great kitchen. A cosy, lovely cottage that we’d highly recommend.

  • "Lovely property in a super location."

Nothing could have added to the holiday with everything needed being supplied - some really nice touches with the little extras being really appreciated - things like the cot already being made up with mattress, milk, eggs, bread all being supplied on arrival. Grayson really enjoyed being able to feed the chickens. Heating warmed the property really quickly, shower nice and powerful - really nothing I would chose that would have made the holiday any better (maybe a little less rain but can't have everything :))

  • "Ticked all the boxes!"

The cottage is outstanding, well equipped, clean, spacious and modern. In a great location too, as loads to do and see without travelling too far, for example Oxenhope station, the co-op, Haworth, bronte waterfall, Bingley five rise locks, hardcastle crags, Bolton abbey, to name a few. Would also recommend Sykes.

  • "Our week in Bull Hill cottage was utterly delightful from start to finish."

The setting is so tranquil with a bubbling stream, bird song throughout the day, and no intrusive sounds (cars, etc) at all. The interior of the cottage is outstanding, with fabulous attention to detail. The hosts were so kind and attentive, yet not at all intrusive - James & Vikki just wanted us to be happy! The space inside the cottage feels roomy, and it was certainly helped by the large patio area. We enjoyed a couple of BBQs and the toddler loved the safe enclosed patio. The wee one also was thrilled to feed the chickens every day with little food waste. There is so much to do in the immediate area, including walks & bike rides from the cottage, the local steam train, and loads of attractions nearby. I definitely hope to return to the same property if it is available!

  • "We really enjoyed our last minute stay."

The cottage was very clean and inviting with the little welcome food pack adding that extra touch. The only thing I would say was there no bin bags provided and also no hair dryer anywhere to use, but other than that it was a lovely perfect getaway.

About the location

OXENHOPE

Haworth 2 miles; Hebden Bridge 6 miles; Skipton 14 miles.

The small village of Oxenhope lies amid wonderful scenery, and offers the chance to take advantage of the multitude of walks in the area. The village, with its shops, churches and pubs, is home to the terminus for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, which runs on a regular basis to Haworth and on down to Keighley. The area was made famous by the Bronte sisters, and the outstanding countryside was famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. The area abounds with popular places to visit; the cobbled streets of Haworth, the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds.
