  • "This is a comfortable, well designed and beautifully situated house with views across the small village of Oxenhope to moors that run on to Haworth: lots of great walking country is immediately accessible from the house itself, and some fine pubs are only minutes away."

    The house is equally impressive for its ecological sensitivity. One minor suggestion: a house suited to accommodate four should have more than a single small cafetière. That point wouldn’t dissuade us from recommending the house as a very fine base for anyone who’d like to experience the delights of rural Yorkshire.

  • "Remote but tranquil very comfortable fantastic view"

    So happy you enjoyed the views and comfort of New Heights. Walkers who have stayed seem to really enjoy the ability to walk straight from New Heights on the many local paths as well as going further afield. There are 3 pubs within a 15 minute walk( or 3 minutes by car) and nearby villages if you want to venture further. Property Owner

  • "New Heights was excellent with good facilities and a view that can only be described as superb."

    The village is only a short walk or drive away with a shop that has everything you need. One of the best cottages we have stayed in and we plan to return. Thank you for letting us stay for a few days

  • "We had a fantastic three week stay in West Yorkshire."

    The house is ideally placed for all the textile mills and museums we wanted to visit. Had some excellent days up in the Dales and visited some lovely market towns. Had an excellent visit to SMJ Falconry which is just down the road. Flew 7 different birds and learnt all about them. Excellent pubs on your doorstep. The Lamb on a Thursday night for their homemade pizzas is well worth a visit! The access to the house is not as bad as some of the comments would leave you to believe. There is a knack to it which you master very quickly and it is well worth it for the views. You also have the added benefit of wildlife on your doorstep, the Barn Owl feeding, deer grazing just below the house and what appeared to be a resident squirrel.

  • "Very nice warm house."

    Pictures don't do it justice. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys walking. Easy day trips to Haworth, Saltaire, Skipton and Grassington. Only minor constructive criticism, we would have liked a mirror and bin in our bedroom. Could also benefit from some serving or casserole dishes

  • "Such a fabulous cottage."

    Modern in design and very spacious and comfortable. The views are captivating from the cottage and a great balcony for sitting out too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and helpful. We didn’t move our car during our stay, making use of the excellent local bus service when planning our walks. So much more to see and do, we hope to return.

  • "A lovely spacious clean comfy and well equipped cottage ."

    Ideally situated for travel to the dales moors and lakes with lovely views. The log burner was very cosy which we needed as the weather wasn’t too kind to us. The owners were lovely and helpful without being intrusive and I would certainly recommend this cottage, we hope to return in the future. The only improvement I would make would be a microwave in the kitchen and instructions for the induction oven Highly recommended

  • "Absolutely gorgeous house, even better than the photos!"

    I stayed here with my husband and two children (7 and 11) for a long weekend and we had the best time. The kids didn’t even use technology once in 4 days! The views are incredible and the area is very peaceful. The owners are lovely and gave us local area tips, we went into the next village on a steam train which was a great experience. We will definitely be returning!

Enveloped by the peaceful countryside,New Heights benefits from an elevated position, overlooking the rolling hills and valleys of the county, whilst offering couples, a small family, or a group of friends a homely escape from the hustle and bustle.

Be welcomed by two off-road parking spaces, where you can unload with ease whilst taking in your serene backdrop.

Head indoors and make yourself at home in the open-plan living space, complete with a well-equipped kitchen, a dedicated dining area, and plenty of plush seating, well-positioned for enjoying the view; for those cooler evenings, a woodburning stove is available, offering a warm glow throughout the space.

If the sun is shining, be sure to spend some time outside, dining alfresco upon the patio, or if you’d prefer to whisk yourself away to a quiet nook, travel to the lower ground floor, where you’ll locate the snug.

Two well-appointed bedrooms rest down here, including two double bedrooms, serviced by a bathroom and a sleek shower room.

The small village of Oxenhope lies amid wonderful scenery, and offers the chance to take advantage of the multitude of walks in the area. The village, with its shops, churches and pubs, is home to the terminus for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, which runs on a regular basis to Haworth and on down to Keighley. The area was made famous by the Bronte sisters, and the outstanding countryside was famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. The area abounds with popular places to visit; the cobbled streets of Haworth, the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds.
