  • "Ideally situated in the wonderful village of Middleham."

Close to Leyburn and just a short trip into the Dales National Park make it a great place to explore from. The property was lovely and much bigger than the impression from the photos. Totally comfy beds and a bath you could get lost in!! Wonderful!!

  • "Lovely house in a super location."

Close to Leyburn and Masham - it was the ideal base, with pubs and walks from the doorstep. Very well equipped house, it had everything we needed for our toddler. Small point but as it was winter, there was a bit of a draft from the front door so a throw on the sofas would have been good. Otherwise, the rest of the house was really warm and cosy.

  • "Absolute gem of a cottage."

Immaculate and well equipped, with a very homely feel. We found the field to walk our dog and of course the wonderful pubs close by. The location is an ideal location to visit many places.

  • "Television!"

No notification to tell us no signal for tv. As a company you managed to send details prior to holiday with key collection but could not notify us about the issues with tv signal which had been down for over 10 weeks. In cottage no info or instructions to tell us what to do or even that there was a problem. Spent 2 hours trying to make tv work and only when we went out for a walk that we were told by another holiday maker that there was a problem. Positives are cottage lovely, clean and very comfortable. First contact with Sykes about issue really lovely and passed issue on to member of customer care team who did not bother speaking to us personally but e mailed,we had phoned and left a contact number. Did not seem to realise that there was a issue or that the company had been inefficient and just passed the problem on to the owner who responded positively!

  • "The property was in an idyllic setting and had everything we could need."

The dishwasher is important to us as it makes a difference to our enjoyment of our holiday. The bed was comfortable and the house was warm. The shower was powerful and hot. The host left a lovely few welcome items and we felt really welcome.

Thank you for your review . A local Transmitter fire disabled all local reception . Our offer to drop off and set up a Smart TV to get round this ( and now in the cottage ) early in the week was declined by you . Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in a perfect location."

Very old and quirky but well renovated with all mod coms. Lots to do in the area, stunning scenery and very well supplied with pubs and hotels in the square. Loved seeing the racehorses going past every morning up to the gallops Not suitable really for people with mobility issues or very small children due to the steep stairs and the fact that the bedrooms are on seperate floors but otherwise would happily recommend it. We had a lovely holiday in spite of the weather being wet and cold.

Dear Mrs Webster Thank you very much for your review . I am pleased you had a lovely week . I agree with your comments regarding the steep stairs leading to the second floor and they are not suitable for the very young or infirm . Best wishes , Mr Heath Property Owner

  • "A beautiful cottage set in the heart of the village ,parking is on a first come first served basis, but there is usually plenty of space on the cobbled area."

The cottage is well equipped and was spotless for our visit. The stairs (2 lots) are very steep, so not really suitable for disabled visitors. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bedroom light and airy. Would definitely book again.

Dear Mrs Leatherbarrow Thank you for taking the time to leave a review . We are pleased that you had a good holiday in the Dales and hope to see you again soon . Best wishes Mr Heath Property Owner

The horses are a great sight as they make their way to the gallops every morning. The pretty market square is partially cobbled and offers a range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The bustling market town of Leyburn is just a short drive away offering a variety of great shops and pubs, or why not take some time to explore The Forbidden Corner, a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and surprises set amidst 4 acres of grounds, providing a fun day out for all the family?
