The property

This wonderfully presented cottage rests in the village of Cracoe, North Yorkshire, a remote location between Skipton and Grassington, and just a 10-minute walk from the local pub.

Perfect for families, Shiers Farmhouse is a stone-built retreat, a homely place to enjoy a comfortable break away, with the accommodation providing two floors of excellence.

The interior comprises a collection of rooms commencing with a country-style kitchen, where tiled flooring continues through to a charming dining area.

Settle down for dinner with your loved ones, then enjoy the sitting room which offers a relaxing place to unwind; warmly decorated with stylish sofas, books, and a woodburning stove which contributes to the cosy ambience.

A contemporary wet room type shower suite is also located on the ground floor, whilst the beautiful family bathroom is situated on the upper level.

Three bedrooms each reflect their own personality, presented in a variety of formations, with somewhere for the whole family to pick and choose.

Views of the garden, bedside tables, exposed beams, and period features furnishings all compliment the interior and its characterful appeal.

The village lies on the Way of the Roses, a coast-to-coast cycling route which opened in 2010 running between the seaside resort of Morecambe on the Irish Sea and Bridlington in East Yorkshire.

In nearby Grassington tourists can visit the Folk Museum which is housed in two miner’s cottages and features many exhibits and artefacts on village life through the ages.

For those looking for a varied shopping experience take a journey to Skipton, which boasts a large high street.

A destination you will want to return to year after year.

About the location

CRACOE

Grassington 6 miles.

Cracoe is an idyllic hamlet situated approximately five miles north of the market town of Skipton and around six miles south-west of Grassington. The village lies on the Way of the Roses, a coast-to-coast cycling route which opened in 2010 running between the seaside resort of Morecambe on the Irish Sea and Bridlington in East Yorkshire. Between Cracoe and Burnsall rests the Cracoe Reef Knolls, a collection of low lying limestone hills which contains the remnants of a pre-historic ocean that once covered the land. In nearby Grassington tourists can visit the Folk Museum which is housed in two miner’s cottages and features many exhibits and artefacts on village life through the ages. There are also regular events and gatherings in the town, including a festival running during the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas and a 1940s-themed weekend. A village festival including concerts, dances, theatre and comedy takes place for two weeks each June. Grassington is also home to crafts shops and places selling outdoor equipment, however for those looking for a more varied shopping experience take a journey to Skipton, which features a large high street with well-known stores and a much-loved market.
