  • "Exellent cottage every thing thought of and the dog agreed"

  • "Excelllent cottage situated within a couple of minutes stroll to the centre of Skipton!"

The cottage was presented to an excellent standard with everything that is required both for yourselves and your dog. A lovely basket of essentials including stamped postcards for you to send to friends/family was provided on arrival including the necessaries for your pooch! The information board was excellent and we completed most of the suggestions. We loved the decor and the fact it was so lovely to come back to after a day out. If this is the normal standard of accommodation that Sykes provide we thoroughly recommend them as agents. Thankyou to the owners of Acorn cottage for such a lovely stay!!

  • "From the moment we walked in we knew we were going have a wonderful two week stay."

It was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack with milk in the fridge was wonderful after a long time on the road. The cleaner really cares about the property and you can tell it’s well looked after and loved . We were able to park in the road easily and there was a lovely doggy welcome aswell. The back yard was little sun trap in the afternoon and people around were so friendly and welcoming . The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and designed with fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble drier , microwave ,Alexa , dishwasher and a fabulous monsoon shower ! The kitchen diner was bright and airy and very well equipped and the information pack and board were really informative and useful. Everything had been thought of to make the cottage special . It was in a great location ( 5 minutes ) for walking into town either down a slope or the easy steps . There were great dog walking opportunities though the wood, the paddock and Wilderness all within a few minutes and going down the slope took you close to the canal for more walks . It was a also a great location for travelling to different places Grassington, Settle, Ilkley, Harrogate, Gargrave , the Yorkshire Peaks, Malham. We loved walking along the canal and really liked Skipton and the market . It was a wonderful place to stay at Acorn Cottage and we were sad to leave but look forward to staying again.

  • "Well equipped, clean, handy for town."

Nice welcome pack. Only criticism is with Sykes who imply in their ad that there is a woodburning stove and fuel is provided whereas only fuel provided for one night. Otherwise every thing else was as stated and would recommend.

  • "Had a lovely week, cottage is spotless and very comfortable."

First time in this area and was not disappointed - lovely area, great walks and plenty of choice to eat and drink . I would advise to book places to eat , particularly at weekends or you may be left disappointed and hungry as they can be very busy. Will definitely visit this cottage again .

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We agree that booking ahead for restaurants is often necessary. We have now added a list of our favourite "Restaurants and Pubs" on our website (www.acorncottageskipton.co.uk) under "Things to Do". We would look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Acorn Cottage which was immaculate."

It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. The location was perfect, just a two minute walk to the nearest shops, pubs and restaurants in Skipton. The on street parking was convenient, with space to park at any time of the day or night. We would definitely return to Acorn Cottage in the future.

  • "Acorn cottage was just as described on the website , with spotless contemporary interior."

It was very well equipped. They had left a basket with various goodies in which was very much appreciated so no rushing out for bread ,milk ,or butter and jam. It only takes about five minutes to walk into the town but it is on a hill and then you have to go down steps so not suitable if walking is a problem. It is in a good location for visiting the local area, Grassington is worth a visit and Burnsall is lovely to take children for a picnic by the river as they can play in the river.
