A spectacular viewpoint not-to-miss is Noble Knott, with panoramic vistas over Bassenthwaite Lake and the market town of Keswick.
Kick off those boots and enjoy refreshments in a welcoming pub - you'll find a couple of good eating and drinking establishments in the village. Other amenities include a well-stocked general store selling all kinds of ingredients, whether you fancy a tasty sausage supper in your Braithwaite cottage or a gourmet packed lunch by a lake.
Nearby attractions include the Whinlatter Visitor Centre, featuring a mountain forest crisscrossed with walking and mountain biking trails, plus other activities like Go Ape.
