Just Show Me Romantic Lake District Cottages

Trace the steps of Poet Laureate Wordsworth and fellow Romantic Poets with a stay in a romantic cottage in the Lake District, located in one of our most breathtakingly beautiful national parks.

These dreamy boltholes come in a variety of styles, some small and snug and full of atmosphere - look out for open fires and four-poster beds. Others are chic and contemporary, perhaps with open-plan living areas. And for the ultimate, starry-eyed treat, take a look at our cottages with a hot tub.

Romantic things to see and do in The Lakes..

Glide across the waters of Lake Coniston in sumptuous style aboard a Victorian Steam Yacht Gondola. Dine in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Stroll hand-in-hand around the historic topiary gardens of Levens Hall. Sip Champagne and float across the glittering lakes and majestic peaks by hot-air balloon. Propose to your loved one atop England's highest mountain. And if your stay in your romantic Lakeland cottage happens to fall in April, make note that it was back in April 1802 when Wordsworth first glimpsed those 'ten thousand daffodils dancing in the breeze' - if you make your way down to Gowbarrow Park on the northern shores of Ullswater, with a little luck you'll find them too. What a wonderfully romantic thing to do!

Of course, you may be just as happy roaming the countryside in sturdy boots, map in hand, loved one at your side. That's possible too.
